September 3, 201511 yr As far as the Pats shouldn't have to pay the $ and lose draft picks. Well that is totally different from this Brady case. Pats employees were already found to be involved period. That is why the Pats were fined etc. Pats firing the equipment men who were involved wouldn't look good in their defense also.
September 3, 201511 yr If anyone has kept up remotely with this you knew either side would be appealing today's decision.
September 3, 201511 yr Let's face it. The NFL had nothing on brady and the people who claim that brady is a cheater are only people who WANT him to be a cheater. They scored 14 points with slightly deflated footballs and then 28 with inflated footballs. Obviously he cheated, obviously the deflated footballs gave him an unfair advantage, obviously they caught him on camera, obviously the caught him red handed, obviously they have clear evidence that he was "generally aware" and obviously that isnt the biggest pile of crap evidence I have ever heard of.
September 3, 201511 yr I hope it sinks Goodell. That's all as fans we should care about. If the NFL's appeal is denied, that very well may be the case.
September 3, 201511 yr Seems like the "Get out of jail free card" was the fact that Brady was never told of the consequences of not cooperating with the investigation. Judge didn't rule on if he did or didn't do it, just that he wasn't aware of the possible consequences of not cooperating. So if Brady had been told that he could face 4 game suspension for not cooperating, does he then cooperate and turn over his phone for review...knowing not doing so could cost him games?
September 3, 201511 yr I hope it sinks Goodell. That's all as fans we should care about. I doubt that it will cost Goodell his job. There were several owners who were pulling his strings to try and give the Pats what they believed they had coming, so he was basically just doing what his bosses were wanting.

And you have this information from where? I'd like to see that link.
September 3, 201511 yr Not surprising. It doesn't mean Brady wasn't guilty, and IMO it probably has been common practice for the Patriots to do it. However that is something that the Patriots and Brady knew would be almost impossible to prove as long as everyone kept their mouths shut. If people keep their mouths shut, and get rid of any evidence, then in the court of law you will win because people won't be able to prove that you did it. So this decision is not surprising at all. Back to football.
