July 8, 201511 yr Probably go Bret Boone over Phillips as well. Always liked Bret Boone but I don't think I can get behind that. Especially since Boone was a cheater, not with the Reds, but when he went to Seattle.

Are you sure he just discovered PEDs after he left the Reds? You don't think that him jumping from 7 homers to 24 in his last 2 seasons in Cincinnati might raise a red flag?
July 8, 201511 yr I'd go with Cueto over Rijo. Maybe Taubensee over Oliver. Probably go Bret Boone over Phillips as well. Bret Boone was GOOD. IMO Phillips is great and I'm not even that big of a fan of him. I feel like he'd be more of a superstar if he were in a bigger market.

Granted I've watched BP more than most, but I'd have a hard time disputing that. He is amazing to watch defensively, and he's almost criminal that he doesn't have more Gold Gloves to prove it.

I will admit that I have no idea what his statistics were his last couple years with the Reds. What I do remember is that he looked huge in that Mariners uniform compared to his Reds uniform.
