No way Reggie Sanders makes this list over the Cobra.

Guys that I remember playing that were nice players but probably wouldn't make anyone's list and for good reason. There are great players at every position. This list are just some guys that popped in my head, some only played one season with the Reds but were productive and others played multiple seasons with the Reds and were productive for one or more but not for there entire career. Edwin for example showed flashes of being exactly what he has become in TOR and would've easily been in discussion for best 3B in Reds History at least offensively (defensive train wreck) had he not been traded or changed positions.

Benito Santiago-Catcher

Dmitri Young-1B/OF

Todd Walker-2B

D'Angelo Jimenez-2B

Edwin Encarnacion-3B

Felipe Lopez-SS

Mike Cameron-OF

Greg Vaughn-OF

Daunte Bichette-OF

Deion Sanders-OF

Willy Mo Pena-OF

We've had several threads about All-Time Reds teams and they are always and rightfully so, dominated by players from the Big Red Machine.

So name your All-Time Reds lineup without any players that played for Cincy from 1970-1976

Here is mine off of the top of my head...I'm only going with players since the BRM, ones I've actually watched.

1B Votto

2B Phillips

3B Frazier

SS Larkin

LF E Davis

CF Griffey Jr

RF Parker

C Oliver

SP Rijo

RP Chapman

Frank Robinson, Big Klu,?????

I thought the stipulation was that you've seen them play. How are we supposed to include Parker if he was before our time?

I just went with players that I've seen, which would be none before the BRM.

Then that wouldn't be "all time "

That was my personal picks, older guys are available to everyone to choose :D

Maybe my favorite baseball card of all time. Still have it.

The one on the right.

1B: Klu

2B: BP

SS: Larkin

3B: Sabo

C: Lombardi

LF: Dunn

CF: Davis

RF: Robinson

Nice! Although I would swap out Dunn for Vada Pinson.

Nobody picking the Nasty Boys? IMO I would take them over Chapman. Maybe not all three ahead of the Cuban Missile, but at least one or two.

The minute anyone listed anyone other than BP at 2B, this thread jumped the shark.

C Lombardi

1B Klu

2B McPhee

SS Larkin

3B Groh

OF Roush

OF Robinson

OF Pinson/Griffey

SP: Soto, Maloney, Walters, Seaver, Rijo

RP: Myers, Graves

Very solid. But compare the numbers. BP, for sure.

Was Vada Pinson a Gold Glove outfielder? Did he play mostly CF?

I'm not sure why some of these guys are getting picked over Dunn.
