While some other Christians on here try to push a hate filled message full of misinformation, you take the high road and show what it means to have true love in your heart. June 26, 201511 yr As a Christian I am against this decision. As a citizen, it bothers me that the supreme court can make this decision for the entire nation. If this issue were put on a national ballot and voters had a chance to voice their opinion, then I could accept it on my beliefs in democracy. I am very sad but not surprised that this day has come. I fear for that my children will grow up in a world that tries to convince them that what is wrong is actually right. Had the Supreme Court ruled against this far more people would have been affected negatively. The ruling as it is, has zero affect on the vast majority of the population. Straight folks would have gone on living their lives completed unaffected whether gay marriage was legalized or wasn't. Legalizing has zero affect on you, your beliefs or how you live your life. All this ruling does is give all gay couples the same benefits regarding property, financial issues etc. Why shouldn't those folks get those same benefits?? And what harm does it cause you??
June 26, 201511 yr Millionaire gay couple is suing to force a church to hold their wedding Don't think we have to worry about this, since it was in 2014 and in the UK. However, I could see how some gay couples could make this the next issue and if that's the case, I will support the church.

I am fortunate in that I know many people who think like I do..many even here on BGP. I'm also fortunate to have had an unconventional life that has let me meet unconventional people. And most of all, I am fortunate to have had a father who was an uncommonly accepting person.

June 26, 201511 yr I'm very happy to call B-Ball-fan a friend and enjoy his company when at BGP Gatherings or HS basketball games........although he can be long winded at times. :lol2: Thanks Lawnboy13... I always enjoy seeing you out at games and all of the interesting facts and figures that you know that helps me learn even more. I'm also amazed that you're still able to text updates even while I'm sitting there chatting with you incessantly. ...And about the long windedness...ain't that the darn truth?.....Believe it or not, I can sometimes wear myself out with it. I think that I got it being the youngest in a large family of very chatty people. Even to this day at family get togethers hardly anyone much comes up for air.

Can't cry for equal protection and then ask the faiths to not be able to be true to their core beliefs.
June 27, 201511 yr Left-handed gay gingers are dancing in the streets. Our nation is doomed. Not only that...Left-handed, red headed, gay gingers are dancing in the streets. Oh the horror. Wow...when you think of anyone who is all 3 of those things and still manages to have a decent self identity....you've just gotta applaud that. Although thankfully the stigma of being left-handed has mostly died out, it was once considered a sign of the devil. While in grade school the nuns tied my mother's left hand to the desk forcing her to write with her right hand. I have some red headed friends who have had their share of bullying while a child. Not only that they often if they had lost their temper, they got the "There's the hot tempered red head" line in reaction, where other kids who lost their tempers never had it associated with their hair color. When a red headed kid is too young to discern this, it takes them a while to stop believing it.
