Didn't northern states have Colonels too with goatees, Van Dykes, etc.? EKU ditching Colonel mascot, I vote no.

EKU mascot is more of a 19th century Calvaryman. Ole Miss's Rebels is a little different, but heck as long as we have a pro team called the Redskins this stuff is nothing . :ohbrother:

I don't see the issues as the same. Confederate Flag flying officially from the State Capitol is an endorsement of said flag and the organization it represents.

Should Boyle Co. or Casey Co. change their mascots? Both are Rebels.

Boone County is also the Rebels. When I went to Thomas More College, we were the Rebels...now TMC's nickname is the Saints.
