June 6, 201511 yr What was the name of the home improvement store where crossroads now stands on mall rd? Builders Square maybe, remember going there as a kid. Also miss Chi Chi's and Burbanks. Circuit City was a neat store as well. I definitely remember All About Sports, I was very young but I loved going there. Still have some UK denim shorts from there.

June 6, 201511 yr Chicken in a Hurry, Willow Run in Covington. Although I'm not a big fan of Burger King anymore as the flavor of their burgers seem to have gone backwards, I've noticed that their "Chicken Fries", that they offer from time to time, have a similar flavor in their breading that "Chicken in a Hurry" used to have, which is just a happy coincidence since "Chicken in a Hurry" wasn't a chain, so Burger King couldn't possibly have been trying to match it as they obviously weren't even aware of this little mom and pop restaurant that used to make it's home in an obscure little strip in Covington. When I first tried the "Chicken Fries" my taste buds jumped for joy to be able to relive a hint of a flavor from my childhood. On a side note OlDog75, if you recall the "Seifert's Bakery" that used to operate in that same general area, the building and the sign on the pole are still sitting just as they did perhaps 30+ years ago when they closed their doors for good. This has always perplexed me as you'd think that eventually something would be done with the property, but it probably shouldn't surprise me too much because if you look all around Covington, you'll see various examples of abandoned businesses and buildings that scream ghost town.

Oh, I remember Seifert's fondly. We used to roll up to a side window on our bikes and get ice balls. First drive-thru I ever used! You know a lot of things and people I know, I'm wondering if we know each other although I think I'm a bit older than you.

June 6, 201511 yr Frank's Nursery and Crafts — hated getting dragged to that place by my mom when I was a kid. Nowadays I love places like that since I'm developing a bit of a green thumb.
June 7, 201511 yr Aladdin's Castle Arcade. Spent many a dollar there growing up. Ben Franklin stores. They always had pea shooters and video games.
