June 10, 201511 yr With the upgrades to Mall road I always think about businesses of the past. So any ghosts on that road, Circuit City, Swallens, Steinbergs, Service Merchandise, Ground Round, Children's Palace to name a few. Wow, had totally forgotten Children's Palace was ever a place. Toys R Us seemed to doom them. Service Merchandise likely deserved a better fate. I always liked the place, though the concept was different for its time.

June 10, 201511 yr I get that. I also get that if you offer a non-premium membership, it should provide access to the site without constantly being returned to the same ad playing on a loop. The site is user driven (it wouldn't be here without the users). So to make it impossible for a user such as myself to be able to read through other posts in a thread that may interest me seems counter productive to the business model. Actually, it seems kind of amateurish. I never had a problem with paying for the site, and still don't necessarily. But if you going to offer a basic membership, then the site should be something more than a frustrating continual trip back to a running commercial for those users. Please send me a private message detailing exactly what is happening and how it is happening and how you are accessing BGP. June 10, 201511 yr I miss the Kambelos presence at Delites. Most people would frown upon this, but I used to love when I would order a BLT and order of fries and a drink. They usually did all the math in there head or on a scratch piece of paper. The price was never the same, but I loved the place.

I was having lunch and reading the USA Today sports page, the sports by state section, where I found out Whitley County had won the girls basketball championship. That Jerry's has been gone for years. A New York Style Chinese buffet resides in the building it was in, now.

In a nice way, the place reminded me of the old "Cheeboogie, Pepsi" skits on SNL. Not to go off on too much of a tangent, but just before they "retired", I brought in a big collection of old postcards from Greece for them to leaf through. Erato was especially appreciative. Last time we were at the Greek Festival in Cincinnati, we ran into them again.:thumb:
