Far Southern yes but the state is not real wide. Far West...hardly, BG is barely in WKU bordering Central

I'm going to guess that all those teams who weren't in state championship games last year would have been more than happy to have traded places and traveled to WKU.

Move them back to Louisville, Blue Colonels 6-0 all time there.

 

Conspiracy theory, our Big Blue Bus cannot travel over 100 miles at a time, thus have purposely avoided trips to WKU.

Other than a Trinity-St. X or a Trinity-Male final in Louisville, what is the largest crowd ever to attend a state final? Has it ever exceeded 10,000?

Westerns facilities are perfect, but it is in the southwestern corner of our state.

Actually it's not. There really isn't anything "Western" about Western Kentucky University in the grand scheme of things. The "south" part, yes. The "western corner" part, no.

 

It's easy to forget or just simply not know if you live along or east of I-75 (and, I have no idea if yoi do or not), but Paducah/Mayfield are 2+ hour drives from BG.

It seems like more states a re playing their state final games in very large stadiums and I would be Kentucky is soon to join that list.

Lol. You haven't seen "far enough west". Nothing ticks of true WKY'ers more than for people to call BG "west". About them or those in the mountains referrerinf to Georgetown as NKY (which Ive heard many do before). But, I understand completely.

Championships are in Lexington because no one really bids on many sports other than football and basketball. Soccer asked for bids from around the state and none came.

90 minute drive to Louisville going down 71 is bad enough.

Once EKU is done renovating their stadium, a rotation between WKU and EKU would be great. WKU seats 22,000 and EKU will seat around 20,000 when finished.

They should split the games up depending where the teams are from.

The geographic center of kentucky is listed as 3 miles northwest of Lebanon, ky. Bowling green is 95.3 miles (southwest) of Lebanon. Lexington is 63.8 miles north east of Lebanon. Louisville is 66.6 miles northwest of Lebanon. I stand by my argument...even though I might have overstated the southern-ness and western-ness. I apologize.
