May 29, 201511 yr - Water - always 5-10 cases bottled water. - Non/long-perishable food. Rice, canned foods - tomatoes, soups, nuts, dry pasta. - Extra salt, spices. - TP. One of the first things to run out in a supply chain stoppage. - Extra propane tank. - Passports, birth certificates, etc. in one place with easy access. - Self defense tools - Camping gear Not real 'prepping' but more of a be able to get by for a couple weeks or more should there be a supply chain stoppage.
May 29, 201511 yr I have lots and lots and lots of ammo if that counts. Same here and I keep adding, we're gonna need it for all those who don't have anything but a phone to call 911 when its out of service.

June 1, 201511 yr We keep a lot of bottled water and canned goods in storage. Have to be careful though to not put so much you blow by the expiration dates. The water has come in handy several times when there were water main repairs upstream suddenly, and our water was turned off. Mrs. doomer wants me to get a generator, but I am holding out for the nuclear variety. :thumb: If apocalypse happens a gas generator will only hold off the inevitable a few days at best anyway. For heat, I have a propane fireplace, a grill with an extra propane tank and a kerosene heater with extra fuel. Mainly, I am not prepared for end of days, but we stay prepared for a few days of interruption of services such as after a major weather event which isn't an unlikely scenario. My days of ammo is proportionate to the number of shots I have to take. :sssh: Oh, yea...I also keep extra dog and cat food around.
June 1, 201511 yr Don't really prep but will grab some guns and ammo. While in Hawaii a few years ago the tsunami hit Japan. They gave us less than an hour to evacuate. We took the towels, bottled water, toilet paper (and booze of course) from the rooms. We took all of our luggage instead of the 1 bag they told us we should grab. We also took our car versus the bus they wanted us to hop on. Went to the money machine and withdrew as much cash as we could and went to the front desk to get more money. Figured, if it hit bad enough cash would become king to get us off the island and if there was a power outage credit cards will not work.

June 1, 201511 yr Sure... Cicero, Seneca, Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius. Augustine, Ignatius Loyola, John-of-the-Cross, Therese de Liseux. Job, Psalms, Romans, Philippians. I don't know what my own end will look like, but I think I probably won't see it coming. I do my best to be prepared to greet it standing up... and in full anticipation for what I believe to be on the other side.
