April 11, 201511 yr It's available. They sell it on their website, among other places. It's a great topper for macaroni and cheese, and for potatoes au gratin...and for those who make their own jerky, it's WAY good when you use it in that process. There you go @uk#1fan it's online
April 11, 201511 yr Funny but last month I had my first bad bag of BBQ Grippos . They were very much unseasoned . It was actually kinda shocking , decades of yummy spicy chips then this bad of barely orange colored chips with no seasoning on any of the chips . I actually emailed them a complaint and they sent me two bucks . We bought 3 bags of Grippos at the grocery last week. Two regular and a BBQ for my son. One bag of regular chips were extremely "burnt" very dark chips, tasted nasty. My son also stated his BBQ chips were the same as you described above. Also the other bag of regular chips just did not have that Grippos flavor as in the past. I think the Grippos we have grown up with is no more. Edited April 11, 201511 yr by OlDog75
April 11, 201511 yr I've never bought plain Grippo's. I just can't stray away from the bbq. Without a doubt my favorite chip.

April 11, 201511 yr They have plain Grippo's??? What's the point?? Seriously, of all the Cincinnati favorite foods, Grippo's BBQ chips are my favorite. They are the one thing I'd miss if I moved. I only buy them in the big box, as it seems to me, they are seasoned heavier than the bags. I also like the new BBQ rings they have, they sort of look like BBQ Funions. I have no idea what they are made of, but they are quite good. There's also the sweet onion chips that I think are very good too. Still, my all time favorite potato chip is Herr's Old Bay Chips. I always get a few bags when I'm back east.

I was surprised when I moved to Louisville that the thing I miss the most from Cincinnati was LaRosa's. That's totally skewed, though, because there's a Graeter's store a block away from me, a Skyline a mile down Bardstown Road, and Grippo's and Glier's Goetta can both be found here so long as you know where to look for them.
April 11, 201511 yr I got a bag this past Wednesday that went the other way. It was heavily seasoned, had my mouth on fire

April 11, 201511 yr The plain Grippo's aren't any good IMO. BBQ is the best chip on the planet. Agreed... the Grippo's plain are nasty. The oil tastes funny. Have always loved Husman's plain. That's the way a plain chip should taste. Love Grippo's BBQ, but can't stop when I start, and then regret it later with terrible heartburn.
April 11, 201511 yr Really I would love to have some of that! I see it all the time in the snack isle at Kroger.
April 11, 201511 yr Never heard of these I don't think you can find them much west of E'town. I hated it when my Wal-Mart quit stocking the boxes. Especially since the price shot up on the bags.

Husman's plain & Grippo's BBQ.....bar none the BEST.
April 12, 201511 yr Last bag of Grippo's BBQ I purchased at Kroger's tasted the same as always. Plenty of BBQ, plenty of heat.

Perhaps it's from years of eating spicy, hot stuff, but I don't find Grippo's all that hot. Yeah, they are spicy, but I don't put them in a category of having heat. Which is why you probably don't want to tell me to make anything spicy or hot for you.
