I think there may be some people eating their words about now. See folks that is why we play the game because anything can happen on any given day. It happens every year in the NCAA and it happen today. So all of you who counted our 9th region girls out because of EB (who is one heck of a player) and the other D1 signees on the E-Town team, I say so sad and I'm sorry but tell me how those words taste.

 

Don't take it as a personal slight. Jeez.

 

I didn't give anybody a chance of beating them. Upsets do happen, and Holy Cross should be commended for doing what nobody else in Kentucky could come close to doing previously.

 

I take comfort in knowing there's a lot of folks joining me in the crow buffet line on this one.

 

The real question now becomes how will the Indians handle their new position as The Team To Beat.

Not personal just an observation. Hey I've done it to. Crow is good with famous Dave's sauce. Lol

This has to be one of the biggest upsets in recent girls state tournament history I would think. I don't follow girls basketball that much but everyone was talking about Elizabethtown and wasn't they ranked nationally.

This is not as big as upset as everyone thinks it is. Holy Cross does 3 things that makes them a tough out...1) They do not turn the ball over. 2) They do not take bad shots. 3) They are hard to score against. Congrats to Coach Murphy and the Indians on a great win.

BTW - Did he show any excitement later? I mean watching that video and he immediately walked over to the Etown bench all calm, cool and collected long before anyone else on the team did.....

To put things in proper perspective, 3 in state was only at the end of the season or maybe at the beginning of this tournament but E-Town was a top of the list the entire year.
