^ I liked International star.

Same here — played it in one of the exactas I did yesterday.

It's a 4-horse box 6-12-18-20. With the 12 scratching out, that means the 12 play gets switched to a different horse. From the way I understand it, they switch it to the favorite, but since I have Pharoah as part of it, does that mean it will switch the 12 to the second favorite (Dortmund)?

I did too. Had to rewrite a few of my bets. Heading to the track in about an hour.

I can't get up there to change the ticket around. Looks like I'm stuck with it.

You might get a partial refund on that ticket since you already have the "betting favorite" on that same ticket. If AP is not the betting favorite at post time, THEN you will get the new betting favorite. My guess is that AP will stay the betting favorite.

Well, I suppose if nothing else I may be able to get a refund after the fact?

I'm watching NBC's coverage of the Derby, I've got to tell you NBC isn't making any fan of me by putting the Johnny Weir Freak Show on. When this person is on I flip over to something else. That person is just too far for me.

Daughter is fortunate. She will be the bridesmaid of a former roommate next month. Their family took her today. Primo seating, free food and drink, the works. Nice deal for her first Derby.

Daughter just e-mailed a picture to the wife. She can pretty much reach out and touch American Pharoah right now.

Every year my daughter was at UofL she worked the Derby as a greeter. They would dress up in gowns and large hats. She met quite a few interesting celebs.

Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir talking horse racing? I have to admit I did not see that one coming...

Derby horse didn't win but my daughter saved the day on race 9 by picking yellow.

Bet 40 won 75. Had 10 on the winner to win and $1 boxed Exacta on the top three finishers, so I felt good coming down the stretch. Will pull back 75 or so. Net gain of 35. Ill take it. My remaining bets were long shots.

My horses went 2, 3 and 4(Not in that order)
