Bottom section of the bracket is loaded!!

The top is loaded too. It's pretty evenly distributed this year.

Tenth could have gotten a better draw.

16th got an ok draw.

15th Region plays 7th Region for the 2nd Time in 3 years. Tough draw. If Knott Central wins the 14th, they will be heavily favored to make a semi-final appearance.

Top looks more loaded to me (I'm assuming top ranked teams win region)

Bottom: Trinity/Ballard with a easy W in 1st round vs. Shelden Clark??, then would meet winner of LexCath/Bryan Station vs. Wayne. Then BG or WC vs. Knott Co in Quarterfinal. Top looks more loaded and competitive with Oldham vs. Owensboro in 1st round, Taylor vs. Henderson (that's insane 1st round), then Mason Co vs. Cov Cath or NewCath and PRP or Doss with a W the first round. that leaves 4 of these teams in the qtrs: Oldham/Owensboro/Taylor/Henderson/Mason/Region 9 (CC or NCC).

The bottom has the 7/11/12/14 regions that will be the front ronner. but IMO pretty easy path for Region 7 to the finals. If they were up top I think it would be a much harder road for them.

Put Trinity in Henderson's spot:

Taylor/Owensboro or Oldham/ NCC or CC to GET to the finals.

Looking at it in terms of the quarterfinal sections...

5th/2nd should be a good matchup on Wednesday afternoon. Then likely 3rd vs that winner on Friday should be good as well.

I wouldn't expect the Wednesday evening session to be that competitive, I'd expect the 9th/6th to go through easily. The likely matchup of 9th vs 6th on Friday should be really good.

The Thursday afternoon foursome is loaded. The 15th isn't strong but the other three regions are some of the strongest in the state. Not only in terms of top teams but depth. Some other regions could send a weaker team if someone gets upset but that's not really the case in the 7th, 11th, and 12th.

Knott should have an easy path to the semis from the Thursday night session.

Overall I think it is a fairly balanced bracket top to bottom. Obviously some paths are a bit easier than others but each quarterfinal session could have someone come out of it that is a legitimate title contender.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Mason Co-Cov Cath or New Cath matchup.

CovCath repeat.

Mason County is toast. Will not beat CovCath in first round.

CovCath repeat.

Hopefully for CovCath's sake, NewCath and Holmes just go ahead and crown them.

Mason County is toast. Will not beat CovCath in first round.

Thanks for the support Camelman. :thumb:

Funny, I feel the exact opposite.

I was hoping for a loaded Wednesday with more predictable games on Thursday as UK will probably be playing in Louisville on Thursday in NCAA and I've got tickets :thumb:

love the 14th region draw to get to Saturday!
