The Bust Known As Johnny Football

Featured Replies

Maybe-----maybe not.

It's Funny how many people were saying 2 years ago that he'd be a sure fire hit in the NFL.

He's been in the league one season and played in less than two total games. Give him time to mature and see a larger sample size and then I'll see where he stands as far as being a bust of not.

I don't know. Sounds like he hasn't learned a thing.

I hate articles like this. Just freakin' own it. Give your name or keep your yap shut. Unless PFT made it up, which wouldn't shock me either.

He's played 5 quarters. Chill.

How long has Andy Dalton had. I would trade Cleveland. Same ole same ole. Year end Year out and ready for a change.

Means nothing

I don't think he will ever be great, but I don't think he will be Ryan Leaf either. I do think he truly wants to do well, and I think his poor play and now things being said like that will motivate him to prove people wrong. So I do think he will come out and end up being an average QB, but just never great.

I agree 100 % Newark. I remember just shaking my head and laughing when I heard the Browns announce that pick. I mean it wasn't like they didn't know what they were getting. "Johnny Joke" was a good college qb....end of story. He was never a good drop back passer. Manziel was proven to be an arrogant, undisciplined, non caring about anything or anyone other than himself. The kid (should say "child") started breaking rules the minute that he got to the Browns / training camp and continued it through the season. The one game that he started, Manziel got exactly what he had earned .... his butt handed back to him and an embarrassment.

I like the Browns, I really do but they keep blowing draft pics in what seems like every year. IMO is that Johnny Joke won't even make a decent backup qb and will be out of the NFL completely before too many years .... yes, he is a joke.

next time I'll tell you what I really think.:D

He played a game and a half and people act like that proves their point? Sometimes you do have to look more into something and just judge by what you see on the outside. This year he was a kid who had always had success on the football field doing it his way. So yes he is very arrogant and probably truly thought he could keep doing it the way he always has and still doing well based on raw skills. However as I mentioned in my post above, the one thing I have noticed is I truly believe he is someone who does want to do well. I see this being a wake up call for him, and being something that motivates him. He probably won't ever be a top QB, but won't be a Ryan Leaf type either. I see him ended up being an average QB when its all said and done.
