PDF that shows the realignment with what school moved up and what schools moved down and who declined to move down.

 

Is that list accurate? I see a post below that seems to say Bath Co. and West Carter moved up to 3A and another one that says Ft. Knox moved down to 1A.

Complaints from the districts that were matched against the districts with Trinity, X and Male. They thought is was "unfair" that they had to face those districts in the first round every year.

 

In the 1990s (and maybe earlier also) when there were four Louisville districts in Class AAAA, those districts rotated who would play whom in the playoffs. For instance, 1/2 and 3/4 would play one year, 1/3 and 2/4 then next, etc. So while the KHSAA's move to rotating districts may have more memory from the 2006 change, it actually has a history that goes back further.

I see Ohio Co is moving up but I don't understand putting them in D1 making 5 teams in that district while there are only 3 teams in D2.

 

Agreed, especially since Muhlenberg County asked to move into District 2 with Meade County and Central Hardin when Nelson County split a couple years ago. I'm not sure why Muhlenberg didn't just stay with the two Hardins and Meade.

Logistically Ohio Co makes more sense but either would work.

True, my mistake on that. Should be Ohio instead of Muhlenberg. My only thought as to why they didn't change them was due to time zone differences.

Hardin and Meade are both Eastern. Ohio and Muhlenberg are both Central time zone.

 

Not much difference between Ohio and Muhlenberg for CH/MC.

-- Still a haul for CH/MC to Ohio/Muhlenberg.

-- Little crowd at either game.

We know about all of the amazing match-ups that the new realignment will create. (Highlands and BG)

 

What schools, because of adjustment, got a raw deal? Or a tough re-district situation?? (for example the two head coach-less schools that were put in a District with Trinity) Kind of a Louisville area bum, so I want to hear about the rest of the state... or Louisville people too.

 

Lets hear the "whoa's" and "stick it to the man....."

Butler and PRP. Go from contending for district titles every year to most likely fighting it out for 4th place and the "privilege" of playing Trinity in round 1.

They spent the last 4 years getting hammered by South Oldham, Cooper, Conner and Scott. This is going to be even worse.

Anybody who thinks Grant is going to struggle hasn't been following BGP.

 

Dixie: they lose everybody, they will never replace Moore, they can't throw the football and they only run 3 plays

 

Cov Cath: the PHM is rioting and looting in the streets. They even tried to set a couch on fire but discovered the designer leather couches are flame retardant so they borrowed a fire pit and burnt a mini version of Coach Wirth in effigy. The looting hit an all time high when they found out Finke's Market was out of stuffed pork chops, steaks, and spicy gotta.

 

HHS: haven't you heard the sky is falling in the Fort. It's rumored the devil himself is walking around claiming souls sold for state championships. RCC9 was found curled in the fetal position in a corner quivering and sucking his thumb. They thought they were saved when the heavens opened up and Jesus looked down but that was quickly squashed when he said let'em burn. Everybody knows Jesus is a Cov Cath fan.
