I'm not sure what you want me to denounce him for, since I largely agree with his policies. I don't feel I've been lied to, and I don't feel betrayed. It's not that I would be unwilling to, I just haven't seen anything that's happened the same way you portray it.

 

I just don't know how to respond to this. When someone lies to you and then TELLS you that he has lied to you and you STILL don't think you have been lied to...my mind just cannot compute that...

I have admitted Obama made mistakes. Even did so in this thread when I said I hope they can make changes to ObamaCare especially after it got rammed into existence. It's not my fault that cons can't get over the fact that I still like Obama after all his mistakes. His lack of transparency, his poor choices for having his cronies on his administration, et cetera, et cetera. I still love that dude and I always will.

And for the record, I didn't have a HUGE problem with President Bush until Iraq. I objected vehemently to our handling of things post 9/11. But while I didn't agree lockstep with him, I could live with his administration. However, if we are talking about lies, I personally feel the Bush administration lied to us about Iraq, and it has cost American lives, destabalized the Middle East and we are inextricably tied to the problems there forever. If AHCA is a "lie", I can certainly live with it in comparison.

No, that's the truth for me. I've admitted that. There are some republican politicians that I like but I don't trust a word that comes out of their mouth and unless I go through some life changes I likely will never vote for a republican again. Republicans and I are on two different wavelengths and I don't live a life full of extremes. Just not my vibe. I will likely never identify with a republican nor trust any republican politician. That's the simple truth.

What part of that is so hard to understand? You think President Bush had bad intel. I think he had exactly the correct intel, but wanted the war anyway. I can remember the arguments between myself and most of you regarding what the UN investigators were reporting and you guys were eschewing. I think that for you to say I won't blame President Obama for anything is pretty rich, considering you won't give him credit for anything. It's a stalemate, my friend.

In the overall scheme of things, what President hasn't lied to us? What point do we admit that because we have a primarily 2 party system, neither side will every be completely forthcoming because nothing will get done? It is what it is.

Personally, I said from the beginning that SOMETHING had to be passed so that there was SOMETHING to work from. If things had gone the way of the Republic platform, not one thing would be changed. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zippo. At least we have something to improve upon. So, considering I already felt I wouldn't know all the particulars/possible outcomes, I don't feel lied to.

We didn't invade Benghazi, so it's not an apples to apples comparison. However, I do understand what you mean, and I do feel you are correct-the handling of Benghazi was a colossal bumble.

I doubt I'll ever, in my lifetime, feel confident in another president regardless of their political affiliation. Ever.

So, according to you, Bush lied and you are not OK with that. Obama lied and you are OK with that.
