As PP mentioned in his comments on why no Dems want to post in garbage like this, as soon as they do, such as someone who said they voted for Obama, they are called out as "enablers". Nice "intelligent" debate, lol

To set a couple things straight , PP I didn't call you or Anyone else stupid -- your fellow democrat did , I didn't . In political discourse there is a ton of back and forth bantering . I've been insulted numerous times by TTP but instead of crying about it and playing the victim I choose to fire back . I've described politics as " mma without the rules " if anyone isn't up for the dirty work they ought to never comment . I refuse to feel any regret for blasting some dim wit MIT grad who insults the American people ( all of us ) and his boss who knowingly screwed over the citizens by changing something very personal to us all , our health care . And I sure don't regret asking the followers of these two " how does it feel to be played for a fool" You can be mad at me all you want , I didn't lie to you to get your support . The disingenuous whining about the tone of this thread is laughable .

Closer to the truth is " we got played " but we don't want to admit it .

We never voted for it, but our Represntatives did, which the majority was Dems inteh Senate.

 

I would think that even Dems would consider this as an outrage of what he said.

1. I agree changes need to be made especially with the way getting it rammed into existence took place. Hopefully changes for the better can be made.

 

2. In a perfect world maybe. In my experiences none of them care about any of us. Keep in mind that Mitch and Obama will be sharing some KY Bourbon real soon if they already haven't. I imagine that it will be a cordial and off the record conversation.

 

3. I don't know who has benefitted more. I'd guess elderly people and people below middle class without health insurance through their jobs have benefitted the most but that is an uneducated guess. I honestly don't think about Obamacare at all as I have excellent healthcare through my job and my union will make sure that is always the case. The few doctors and dentists that I know are not fans of ACA.

The group that benefits are those who worked and either couldn't afford the coverage offered, or were not offered coverage. Young adults to age 26 benefitted. People with pre-existing conditions benefitted.

 

Contrary to popular belief, one cannot just get a medical card.

 

I agree changes are necessary. But I think a drastic action was needed to make this a real priority. At the least, this has done that.

 

As to the respect of the politicians toward the voting public...please. We don't even respect each other. Hard to expect better of those we elect.

I find it interesting that even among health care professionals, some are for, some are against. My son is in HCA. He is largely for the AHCA, although certain aspects have been a headache in deploying. His view, though, is that while it's been tough implementing, the longer term benefits outweigh the initial pain. I'll try to talk to him soon and get the specific points he mentioned. I don't want to misquote him. I do know that what he has had to deal with changing has had to do with the admissions processes and the way records are kept/shared.

Now they have unearthed three tapes of him saying basically the same thing. The tapes are spread over a few years. He went on MSNBC saying that he was speaking "off the cuff" and should not have said it. He has been speaking "off the cuff" now multiple times over many years...right....

 

I cannot tell you how much this guy disgusts me. He is an incredibly smug and arrogant. He was also paid over $400k for his "work" on Obamacare.

 

It is also amazing that NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN have not covered this story at all...no liberal bias in the press though...
