Let me explain something to our republican brethren of BGP that desires to hear the thoughts of the democrats of BGP. While your post isn't directly calling out democrats on BGP go back and look at the whole tone of this thread. Why would any democrat or liberal respond to any of you? Throughout this whole thread democrats and anyone who sides with them are stupid. That's not an invitation to an intelligent conversation. So you guys are just going to have to sit around crying about democrats and our lack of response to this topic because it is painfully obvious it will be a one sided discussion. At the same time I'll be watching closely to see how Mitch McConnell gets out of being unable to repeal Obamacare. That should be fun to watch. Gotta love campaign promises. PP92, I think (at least hope) you know I like and respect your opinions on a variety of subjects a lot. We disagree on Obama - no big deal - that is what makes the world go round. My point on this subject is that EVERYONE (and maybe democrats more so than republicans) should be mad about what Gruber is saying. He is basically calling the American voter stupid and really calling democratic voters more stupid than republican voters. He and Obama knew the republicans for the most part would hate this bill and no matter what they said would sway them. He was talking about the democratic voters and lack of transparency with THEM because they could be convinced. He got caught red handed admitting what the republicans have been saying for years - that guys like him (not ALL liberals but some) think they know what is better for everyone else and if they have to trick the US population to get it, they will...the ends justify the means...and what is worse is they are PROUD of it. If you disagree, I would love to hear why. I am always open to hearing the other side on things...while I may disagree with you and Rockmom on most things politically, I do like hearing what you have to say. I have changed my mind on things over the years on a variety of issues because of hearing the other side (death penalty and gay marriage come to mind immediately).

There are too many posts antagonizing democrats that no one should wonder why democrats haven't commented in this thread. Nothing constructive about this conversation at all. Democrats are being attacked before they can even click the link. Why would anyone in their right mind even try to explain their thought process to any of you? And this happens all of the time. A thread is started, conservative BGP voices their outrage in antagonizing posts, liberal BGP doesn't respond and then is accused of being stupid, sheep and non caring. That's not a productive way to have a conversation. I question my own sanity everytime I respond but coffee gets my brain going in the morning. I really really love coffee. Especially with some french vanilla creamer in it. YESSSSSSS!!!!!!! But since I am going to be branded as stupid for not being outraged at the gall of this fella for calling American voters stupid, how do we know he is talking about the democrats being stupid? The democrats aren't the ones against Obamacare and don't need to be swayed or tricked into being for Obamacare. Wouldn't the stupid ones be the republicans who believed the democrats and became supportive of Obamacare? I too have changed my mind on the death penalty as well as a result of conversation on BGP.
November 12, 201411 yr I've seen this Gruber clown on Megyn Kelly's show a few times...debating Obamacare. He comes across as very arrogant. They have had some heated discussions. I don't watch her show very often but put it on tonight to see if he would be on in light of these comments being made public. She said that she asked him to come on but he declined. I wonder why... I don't know how EVERYONE is not upset about this - R's and D's. This guy admitted that they had to lie to get it passed and said the American voters are stupid. And he is not a bit sorry about it. It was worth it because he wanted to get the law passed. He sounds like the perfect Presidential Candidate for the Democratic Party in 2016
