November 5, 201411 yr I think I need a meaner dentist who will hold a gun to my head and threaten me. Worked for me. I was never the best, and I didn't have dental insurance forever. Once I got in to see the very dentist you allude to, I had peridontal issues but no cavities. I counted my lucky stars that it wasn't worse and have flossed once a day since then. I wish I could say I flossed twice a day, but I always floss in the mornings now.
November 5, 201411 yr I do. Not as much as I should, but I have been doing a better job. It is not a time or convenience thing, I just normally forget to do it. So, I have started keeping my dental floss in the shower and my flossing regularity has improved. I keep mine on top of my Q-tip jar. I can't clean my ears until I floss my teeth now. :lol2:
November 5, 201411 yr Not often, I thought that's what cleanings were for? I've been blessed with good teeth I guess. I went four years without flossing or a cleaning, nor a checkup.. Went back in last year and was asked the last time my teeth were cleaned, I said about four years. Then I was asked if I floss, I said no, then was told that I should floss twice a day but I was in better shape that come in regularly for cleanings.

November 5, 201411 yr I do floss, but I would not go so far as to say "regularly". More like "occasionally". And I very much prefer the little plastic floss sticks with about a 1/2" piece of floss stretched between two plastic prongs. Trying to wrap two feet of floss around my fingers and then get half my hand around my back teeth does nothing but make me drool.
November 5, 201411 yr I now floss regularly, usually 5-7 nights a week. I have hard teeth and have been told it's very important to floss and I don't want to lose my teeth and have to pay the expense for repairs.
November 5, 201411 yr Shower Floss. My dentist recommended it and I'm already in the shower so might as well floss. The best thing invented and it hooks right up to your shower head. About $35 and comes with 2 inter changeable jet heads for multiple users.
November 5, 201411 yr I did not floss most of my life. After a particularly brutal dental cleaning, I decided to start flossing. I was amazed at how much cleaner this made my mouth feel and dental cleanings are much less traumatic. Plus, at my age, it helps me KEEP mt teeth.

November 5, 201411 yr I am probably an every other day flosser. (Is flosser a word?) A friend of mine, when asked if he flossed his teeth every day, would answer "only the ones I want to keep".
