And a question for our resident expert, spindoc: how many people lie to you about flossing regularly?

All of them.

I'll start:

I don't floss. I have gone through phases of my life where I flossed on a somewhat regular basis (couple times per week), but I have never gotten into the habit of doing so. I went to the dentist today, and was told (again) to start flossing regularly. Quite frankly, I doubt it happens.

I understand the health benefits. I guess I'm just too lazy.

With that said, I am going to make an effort to floss regularly, I just can't see it happening. Hope I'm wrong.

I've given it up (lying to my dentist). When they ask, I just tell them straight up: "Nope".

No sense in beating around the bush.

I am with you CC, I have good intentions and twice a year I make a pledge to do better, and it always lasts about 2 weeks.

I floss about twice a day. Feels really weird when I don't do it.

I do it at work, and honestly, am spotty at home. I am so scattered at home, my routine is never the same. So, there will be days I miss. But at work, obviously, we have buckets of it.

In reality, once/day is all you need.

I think I need a meaner dentist who will hold a gun to my head and threaten me.

We keep packs of those little flossers all over.

Stuck in traffic? Why not floss? :lol2:

For Clyde & PP92, I'm talking about dental floss.

I do. Not as much as I should, but I have been doing a better job. It is not a time or convenience thing, I just normally forget to do it. So, I have started keeping my dental floss in the shower and my flossing regularity has improved.

I actually have some of those little floss things in my car. Have never considered flossing while stuck in traffic, until now.

I need to have my teeth cleaned, probably twice. Then I'll try to do it regularly.
