November 4, 201411 yr Wave 3 did an expose on Jimmy Johns delivery drivers at a Louisville location. WAVE : Jimmy John's drivers: Breaking the law to beat the clock?
November 4, 201411 yr Isn't this the reason that Domino's got rid of their "30 minutes or it's free" delivery guarantee?
November 4, 201411 yr As a loyal JJ customer while in Louisville, I don't care. I want my sammich NOW!
November 4, 201411 yr I don't like that the company pushes their drivers to drive like idiots. I also don't like these "gotcha" style news stories.
November 4, 201411 yr I didn't watch, but whatever they do works. There have been times where I would almost bet that they read my mind, decided "this guy needs an Italian Night Club with Hot Peppers...STAT", and had it on it's way before I even placed the order.
November 4, 201411 yr I don't like that the company pushes their drivers to drive like idiots. I also don't like these "gotcha" style news stories. When people are getting injured due to these drivers, and if left unchecked the possibility is higher that someone could get killed, I'm all for these types of news stories. I also love the expressions when idiots realize they are on tape doing wrong.
November 5, 201411 yr The Freaky Fast Delivery is stupid anyway... They won't deliver farther than two miles from the store. I would hope you could get a cold sandwich a block away pretty fast. The stores downtown should be riding bikes, not driving.

I also bought a bike off a guy who used it for deliveries at a downtown location.

Due to the location of the store here in Ashland very few residences are actually in the delivery zone, its basically just available to the downtown businesses. I live a couple of blocks from the Central Park area and was told that if I wanted delivery I could meet them on a street corner a couple of blocks closer to them.. No thanks.
