Central must not be in the largest class....pretty impressive they blasted CC.

USA Today has 3 Florida teams in the National Top 25. None are from 8A. The Miami Central team is #7 that beat Christopher Columbus 42-14. Booker T Washington from Miami is #4.

For anyone intending on coming to the game, I would ask you to come a little early and stop by the booth in front of the Methodist Church and purchase a hot dog and a beverage to help support the scholarship fund for the class of 1983. Birdsfan was one of the original members of the class to suggest doing this as a way of honoring those in the class that had passed away. Now the class will be honoring him in addition to others. Come out and support a great cause.

What can anyone tell us about Columbus (FL)?

Is this team a serious thread to beat Highlands?

Who will win?

This will be a great game, no doubt about it.

Highlands will have their hands full.

CC has 155 players on their roster, but who knows how many they will bring. They have a national ranking of 291 and a state(FL) ranking of 18. This is the coach's 2nd year as head coach.

This is their recent record:

2013 7-5-0

12 9-5-0

11 12-2-0

10 11-1-0

09 9-2-0

08 8-1-0

07 11-1-0

06 8-4-0

05 9-1-0

04 7-3-0

Maxpreps will have live scoring updates for this game at game time. Go to the live scoring page.

I also ran across a message board saying that a school the size of Highlands can't compete with CC. (Must have been a FL. message board.)
