Am I the only one that finds it super surprising that, they of all schools, have not filled this yet? I really figured they'd get this knocked out quickly.

Any word yet on a new hc at Taylor? Everything kind of died after Thomas never made the announcement.

Dudley coaches at a school that graduates 225-265 annually, and he has a 40 player roster if every one is healthy, in 4a, but that cant be his fault, no way! Did anyone really expect him to drill 4a and add to his jewelry? no. However, I, personally, did expect him to field a highly competitive team, and that is not what I have seen. I was not around the game when he was running the mountains so all I have ever known Dudley to do is lose. That sounds super harsh, but it is what i have experienced. I know, very well, the talent that Taylor County has, and a coach that would adapt his game to his athletes would compete at a much higher level at that school. Forgive me if I do not share the sentiments of the majority here.His accomplishments of an earlier time are very impressive, and he should be given the respect he earned for those years, yet still, what have you done for me lately duds?

not exactly the case at taylor. He is a much more accomplished coach than a majority of the others out there, but i would classify his taylor time as an underachievement. I say this based on their schedule and athletic ability.

"temporary guardian" system worked pretty well for Taylor County recently...Speaking of Taylor, expect them to fall hard in the district

I know any team can do it any friday night, but is there a better explanation for this one? ineligibles, ejections, turnovers, or did hart just have the night of their season?

Belfry is the dog. IF not belfry I agree with the order snakes lined out. Casey is impressive but play a tough post season when trying to advance. Adair has to get through a quality KCD, then win a district AT elizabethtown, then beat one of the scoring-est casey teams we have ever seen. Bardstown has a tank of a schedule left and could go down as soon as Waggener. Corbin is second alone and waiting for Belfry to slip

I like Sam just as much as the next guy and value him as a coach, but last season was most definitely not an improvement from the year prior. Last season was a down year by all standards. They played a fantastic first round game but the season was a loss. The turn around this year is a night to day transformation. The athletes have been there for four years but this is the result we ve been awaiting from casey. I agree that this is a sound year for the Rebs and I expect them to handle Bell, but they arent closing that Corbin gap any time soon.

I fully expect Casey to be 7-0. I do not know what to attribute the turnaround to but they do for sure look like a dangerous team on film.

I'm more excited to see the Bardstown-Etown game and the Caldwell-Hendo game than I have been about HS FB in a while. These are going to be great tell games for all three 3a Contenders. Should be a great weekend on the boards after those two. Caldwell should handle Hendo but Boston is a MAN of a coach and can have his boys ready. Etown and Btown should just be a fight. Should be a great weekend on the boards after these two!

I hate that some things in football are branded as impossible. If we want to be perceived as educated football observers then we have to take this topic on a case by case basis. There is no blanket answer. It could absolutely work at a school one year, and then the next it would be totally out of the question, based on personnel losses alone. I agree that it would be very, very hard to run an entirely new offense on the field, meaning a new 11, however, we arent far from that now when teams run goal line personnel packages in. Two QB's most certainly does not equal 0 qb's. Handled correctly it equals a headache prep week for a DC.

I have known some very "stupid", as you put it, asst coaches on very good football teams, not specifically saying that this man is one of them, but that logic obviously has plenty of holes. You cant just automatically assume that everyone on staff is legit because of success of the program, there are "sandwich eater" coaches just like there are players.

Do you carry this same opinion toward basketball with summer games and aau and toward baseball and softball with fall ball and travel ball? I agree that all sports, from elementary to high school, are very, very time consuming. However, football may be the least of such, specifically in Kentucky. We struggle as parents and coaches to keep up with summer ball and aau and every other pipe dream factory, what is football left to do?

where did he end up? he had a solid season and then headed out but I don't remember hearing his name as a head coach somewhere else.

Happy for Boston! Coached against him once, and watched film on his whole 2015 season. His kids are always hard working and disciplined! He will have a great time at Hendo!

It is cville's district to lose. More importantly, I do not expect Taylor to win that game for at least ten years. The talent on the football field in Campbellsville is heavily shifting toward the purple, despite taylor's wallet. So happy to see that

I pray every night that there is not a principal or athletic director posting on any thread I read. Simply because, it is comical and terrifying at the same time the logic that is used and reasoning to make selections for a head coach.
