September 8, 201412 yr I would like to know if the Ravens and the NFL have seen this video before TMZ posted it. If so, the buck shouldn't stop with Rice.
September 8, 201412 yr Hopefully he gets picked up by the Rams. That is probably worse than be suspended.
September 8, 201412 yr I would like to know if the Ravens and the NFL have seen this video before TMZ posted it. If so, the buck shouldn't stop with Rice. What do you think the answer to that question is? TMZ can get it, but the Baltimore Ravens can't?
September 8, 201412 yr I don't excuse his behavior, but players have killed people and continued to play. Not allowing Rice a second chance would seem hypocritical, wouldn't it? The difference this time is the undisputable proof on the video; not just he said/she said.
September 8, 201412 yr Great news! I personally hope no one picks up Rice. The guy doesn't deserve to play, at all!
September 8, 201412 yr The NFL has reportedly announced an "indefinite suspension" of Ray Rice. Like I said, he's done for the year. Greg Aiello @gregaiello 2m Roger Goodell has announced that based on new video evidence that became available today he has indefinitely suspended Ray Rice.
September 8, 201412 yr The difference this time is the undisputable proof on the video; not just he said/she said. I'm not really even referring to Ray Lewis. More so a player like Donte Stallworth or the lineman for the Cowboys that killed his best friend. Both drunk driving incidents. I certainly don't condone Ray Rice's behavior one bit and do feel like he should hare received a much harsher penalty from the NFL but people on Twitter (and some here) are acting like he should never be allowed to play in the NFL again.
September 8, 201412 yr What do you think the answer to that question is? TMZ can get it, but the Baltimore Ravens can't? Looks like "The NFL" is playing dumb only like you I do not believe them. And someone made a fortune selling that video to TMZ.
September 8, 201412 yr I hope the NFL extends the suspension to a year. If he is picked up after that then I don't have a big problem with it. What I'm most dissapointed in is there weren't any domestic violence or assault charges brought on. Doesn't matter if she doesn't want to press charges, many states have laws in place that if a law enforcement officer believes there was domestic violence involved then they are to arrest the suspect even of the victim doesn't want to press charges. He needs at least 1 year suspension. If that is the case then I will not say he doesn't deserve to make a living, but just make sure he is punished.
September 8, 201412 yr Looks like "The NFL" is playing dumb only like you I do not believe them. And someone made a fortune selling that video to TMZ. If you search back on when the incident occurred, multiple media outlets reported that both the Ravens and NFL had viewed video from inside the elevator.
September 8, 201412 yr How long before his wife divorces him? She stayed with him for the money, right?
September 8, 201412 yr This is weak. Either suspend him for the whole season when the initial investigation concluded or don't. Stick with what you already ruled. I am confused (not really I know why) on how the NFL can increase a suspension when no new incidents have happened. They KNEW that Rice knocked out his fiance. They knew that. That doesn't just happen, it is a very very violent act. So, they hand over an EXTREMELY soft punishment and took a HUGE PR hit (pun intended) for it. Now that the "new" video was released, they have a chance to make up for their past mistake and take it. It is a cop out for the NFL. There is no way that they didn't have that video evidence. I find it hard to believe that they didn't know all of this, realize that they screwed up, and prayed for an opportunity to win a PR coup. They took it.
