I think Stoops said PT only had about 7 or so run plays called for him. The rest were him taking off on his own.

 

The fact he had to take off on his own so often is a concern.

All of his misses have been from the right hash.

I think the # was closer to 15 times, as the college rule includes sacks as QB running attempts. Patrick did a nice job at scrambling and getting then1st down marker several times..

One thing we all are forgetting to look at is how much the D has improved over the year and week. A plus 6 I believe for turnovers. I mean every play I saw the cats stripping of the ball no matter who had it. This week I am sitting back and enjoying this one all due to the U of L game is going to be a good one.

The offensive line and wideouts better step it up next week or Kentucky is going to get throttled! No way Towles should of been sacked that many times from a MAC team. Florida will hurt him!!

He did, problem is if he gets used to that he won't make the sideline against SEC defenses and will get hit hard a bunch.

I agree with the season being young anything can happen this year in the SEC Bama is strong yes but I do not see Bama being able to contend with a very flash auburn squad this year. but again whose in?

Also, weren't 3 or so of his attempts QB sneaks? A QB is rarely exposed to injury on these.

Was at game. After first quarter it became boring. Play calling was not good. Some fans ragging on Brown in stands.

 

Agree that receivers and wideouts better work harder and be aggressive next week. But there were very few down-field throws.

 

Maybe they were trying to not show Florida too much and saved the good plays for next week.

They do, but 15 carries is still way too much IMO.

Timmons played his heart out. I would like to see him cut back more and be more versitile like he was in high-school. Dont know why not though, maybe he see's that he can't do all of that cutting, juking in college, but I think after he gets the jitters out he will. Boom Williams, Kemp, Heard, even Clemons are a nice combo in the backfield. Timmons can play in the backfield also, but I think his jitters are still there. I didn't like the QB Draw's so many times in a row, especially on the 3rd & 18. Horrible. Maybe a couple QB Draw's to keep the defense honest was nice, but against Florida & The SEC that is going to work maybe one time if that.

 

UK doesn't look as good as they can be, I look for a 3 Touchdown Loss to Florida and I think they will put it on Vandy in conference play.

^ Like you said this isn't high school he is not going to be able to make that many people miss in college, now at in high school he could be in a phone booth with three defenders and they wouldn't touch him.
