All this arguing about the scrimmage doesn't matter. It doesn't help either team,,,,trinity schedule is way tougher so they see players like Highlands ALL THE TIME. Highlands knows they will get beat by Trinity every year. But then they dress 60 plus or close to it and play small 4a teams well atleast in the playoffs . Someone call me when Highlands wins as many games a Trinity does when they play a schedule worthy or recognition. Playing one cincy school a year win or lose does not make them a top tier team. They have the talent to play better but they dont. If they are so good why not move up to 6A. Go play the big boys week in week out and when you win then they are worthy of all the phrase until then its all hot air. They could scrimmage no one and everyone KNOWS they are gonna win 9 outta ten games in the regular season. And probably state because they play 4A. period.

Not just a scrimmage, T vs HHS scrimmage!

Rocks looked very strong. Lots of size and speed. Great job by them. Birds have promise for sure. Just got to get back at it and learn from this scrimmage. Birds will be fine!

One of the big lessons Birds have to learn is to hold onto the ball that Hoge puts right in their hands. Yes in first half Hoge greatly overthrew a wide-open downfield receiver but he landed one perfectly in the hands of his receiver in the e/z and overthrew a receiver in the rear of the e/z (he caught it but came down just a little out-of-bounds). This Friday, these fixables will be fixed. Trinity made fewer costly mistakes but one of their big ones was not tracking down Hoge when he scrambled &, perhaps, not covering receivers a little more snugly ~ bc Hoge, often under much pressure, zipped the ball to them. The kid is the real thing. If the Birds had made two less fixables, the score at end of 3Q would've been more like 31-20, or maybe closer. Trinity is good but so is Highlands.

We still got a long way to go and a short time to get there.

 

Last years scrimmage thread had over 15,000 views and the announcement of Trinity and Highlands scrimmaging back in 2010 generated over 260 posts.
