Do you know how they are going to run the scrimmage?

 

Not exactly sure but I've been told there will be no kickoffs, punts, PATs. That leads me to believe it will be 10 plays for one side, 10 for the other, rinse, lather, rinse, repeat...

St. X's linebacker was just named to the USA Today All-USA 1st team defense for this preseason. Wish I could see him play.

Justin Hilliard...kid had 10-15 offers from Major D-1 schools after his soph year. He is going to Ohio St to play for Urban Meyer.

I am not sure how it's going to be done but St. X is splitting their squad and having another scrimmage at Badin that night as well is my understanding.

I have heard that this scrimmage will not have Mr. Hilliard involved as they do not want to get him banged up for the season opener next week. I actually understand that he broke the starting running backs hand earlier this week in a drill.

 

Believe this to be nothing more than a very contolled scrimmage to give reps to kids on each team against players other than their own. Neither wants to have someone incur an injury in a meaningless scrimmage when the season kicks off in full earnest next weekend for each of these teams.

I don't know about Hilliard, however I do know that starting running back Ben Glines (Boston College) will not be playing due to the injured hand.

That stinks about the injured hand! Hope this young man heals quickly so he can get back on the field!

Best high school LB I've seen play since Luke Kuechly. Hoping Hilliard and Hoge don't meet on the field.
