Multiple ordering at Subway/Chipotle

Featured Replies

Since Subway is awful, you could avoid this problem by never going, like I do. Never been to Chipotle, so I can't comment on the place.

You literally don't like ANYTHING!

How is it any different than a bus load of people that show up at Mcdonalds? an order is an order, doesnt matter if one person is making it or 10 individual people.

For me...if I see the bus, or a long line, I don't go there. This topic would go in the rant thread for me. I think it is very rude to order for multiple people...more than 3 or so anyway.

Only difference is that if a bus load of people are in line you can see that it is going to be awhile, whereas if you get in line behind 3 people and one of them has 12 orders....

Incorrect. I like good things. Subway — home of the bread and lettuce sandwich — is not good in any way, shape or form.

He's 100% spot on here. Subway is about the most god-awful thing around. Chipotle is only slightly better.

Yep. If you see a bus parked there, it's easy to drive off to somewhere else because you know it's going to take forever. Most people would naturally assume that if they walked in and saw three people in line, that would mean three orders.

Not to mention, I'd argue it would be faster to do 10 individual orders than one person with 10 orders at a place like Chipotle or Subway...

What if they are just fat and like to eat, and its 12 burritos / sandwiches just for them?

The next time the guy in front of me at Chipotle orders 12 burritios for himself, I'll let you know.

Is there a difference between Chipotle and Hot Head's burritos?

Chipotle is SI swimsuit edition. Hot Heads is the senior citizens in the pool doing jazzercise.

It's ridiculous to think that we should expect that one person will have 10 orders. And it would be much faster and less deceiving if there were 10 people in line... even 5... 10 orders at a 'do it yourself' type place like Chipotle is too much for one person to manage.

The early bird gets the worm, my friend. :wacky:

In general, the Newport location is slow to begin with so this just made it worse. It was around 5:15 pm as well so there were some hungry people there who wanted to get their food and eat or get home. This broad had a co-worker with her who also ordered a couple (not so bad)...they had on white nurse outfits that said Galen on them. I think its a Nursing school or something.

I am not opposed to pooling money together and picking up food for co-workers, etc but just be considerate of others. If there is a line like there always is then maybe suggest another place where its not an assembly line format.

I was kind of in a bad mood as well yesterday when I took the pic and ranted on FB. I just wanted to see what most of you thought about it. It truly is a major pet peeve of mine. When I used to work in Hyde Park area I had the same thing happen during lunch time. A stay at home mom was ordering for her son and like 8 of his friends. Line literally went out the door, they actually were not happy and told her next time she would have to call or fax it in. You should have seen all the yuppies giving her the evil eye.

I guess my thoughts would be if you chose to go to the fast-food type restaurant you realize that someone in front of you may be ordering the product the restaurant is selling and ordering a lot of it. I feel for your pain of having to wait but maybe the person was not able to call ahead or online order ahead. And maybe she could have been quicker about it. But you did have the option of leaving and going somewhere else or even going home.

About two weeks ago I pull in Wendy's got get something at lunch time and I hear the guy in front of me state that he had 25 separate orders from the hospital. Attendant told him to bring the order in. What kind of knucklehead tries to get 25 orders at the drive-thru during lunch rush?

Used to happen ALL the time when I worked at Starbucks.
