Multiple ordering at Subway/Chipotle

Featured Replies

From a customer perspective, this isn't something that bothers me. Like others before, 1 person with a bunch of orders or a bunch of people with 1 order each, it's a toss up which will happen.

Like I said, assembly line ordering its a NO NO in my book. She kept confusing which ones needed Mild or hot salsa, cheese, etc. It was a mess period. Its different if she says....I want a #2, #5, 3 cheeseburgers/fries, #4 and a #3. Done

Understood. But the restaurant's purpose is to make money and they are making more off her 10 orders than your 1 order. Now you may not return there because of the incident and that hurts the restaurant, but she might be back with 15 orders tomorrow. It stinks and my advice is to avoid the places where this could occur if at all possible.

Oh it doesnt happen that often to me which just shows how moronic it is. The mánager should have pulled her a Side after she paid, thanked her for the business and handed her the fax or phone number to Order next time. JMO

Manager should have handled the real-time situation as well. Maybe assigning one person to make her 'batch' order while the 'online' queue kept processing as normal.

(Some IT terminology for the geeks in this one.)

Even if the order is placed online or via fax, remember that there is a finite number of fast food employees in the kitchen making the food and boxing it up. The wait for customers out front might still be the same. I have been behind that situation many times. Time to take a moment and thank God that I will be eating food soon enough while a lot of people are going hungry.

I stood in line at Chipotle this evening probably 10 people back and watched as a young woman held up the line reading orders off of a piece of notebook paper. There were atleast 5 separate orders on there and she could care less about the folks behind her in line. The line grew considerably probably by another 10 customers.

She kept screwing up the order because she couldn't communicate it correctly or had trouble reading the orders. What made it worse is she paid for each order separately. This is one of my worst pet peeves. It happens at Subway as well.

People should try faxing in your order or call it in beforehand. Its the courteous thing to do. I was so mad I took a photo of the self centered lady.

So I got up to the lady taking my order and real loud I said I have 8 separate orders...the girl's jaw dropped. LOL I said...JK.

There's an App for that.

A while back ordered online lunch for the office at Panera. Had to wait in line quite a while to pick it up. Not a good process but don't know if they've since changed it.

That is because Panera is terrible.

Is there a difference between Chipotle and Hot Head's burritos?

As far as burrito places go:

1) Habenero's clifton location

2) Qdoba

3) Hot head Burritos

4) Moe's

5) chipotle

6) currito

Very simple

I will say I will stop at subway and buy 4 footlongs for the family all the time. Usually I am driving home, call the wife and she says pick up the subs. I know exactly what to order and get in and get out. Mostly there is no one there or at most 1 or 2 people behind me. They need an app to order. I love ordering from my apps.

I've been craving one of these magical bundles of happiness all week. It did not disappoint.

Are you high?

I feel for anyone that places Hot Head over Chipotle.... The rice alone moves chipotle near the top.

Hot Head will do in a pinch, but Chipotle is king of the chains.
