Kevin Ward is not the first person to exit his car during a caution and chase down the person who caused them to wreck and be in a position to exit the car during a caution. As I stated earlier, Kevin Ward is at fault. At the same time no one can dismiss Tony Stewart's past transgressions and inability to control his temper. Video proof shows he can't handle his temper behind the wheel or outside of the car.

Answer this question:

If Josh Gordon gets arrested for a DUI tomorrow would you be surprised? Better yet, Josh Gordon says his last failed drug test is because of secondhand smoke. Do you believe him?

Your comparisons don't work. Gordon has a positive test (evidence) to support the alleged mistake (smoking weed). There's no evidence to support TS was even mad at this point.

You can tell from that video Stewart and the car in front of him are on the same line? There's no chance Stewart was a little higher on the track? I agree totally with you that Ward walked down farther after the car before Stewart passed. Both of them were probably a little higher and a little faster than they should have been considering there was a wreck on the high side. Stewart for sure knew there would be a caution and where the wrecked car would be. Also, Ward points at Stewart before walking down the track. Do you think he was pointing and gesturing at someone that had zero chance to see it.

I will say your analysis so far has backed me down a tad from my opinion that he may have been trying to save him. What you are saying and your timeline makes sense.

Him pointing means nothing. That doesn't mean Stewart ever saw it.

What bothers me is Stewarts people had to talk him out of racing the next day.

Do we know that is true or is it alleged from the media?

IMO, you can't just forget about Stewart's past. He has earned the reputation he has, thus he will not get the benefit of the doubt from many because of it. The guy two seconds in front of Stewart missed him, it's my opinion Stewart could have missed him just as easily.

Have you ever sat inside a Sprint car?

Dale Earnhardt had to die to get more than half of the people at a NASCAR race to cheer as opposed to Boo's ... .

And the other half who were screaming his name and wearing black #3's in the stand thought he was a God and were ready to lynch anyone who thought otherwise, so what's your point?

I'm a race fan too...grew up about 20 minutes south of Martinsville VA, right smack dab in the middle of NASCAR country and grew up going to the dirt tracks.

Also, people are talking about TS "gunning his engine" when he went by him. He did...and the reason he did is simple. Watch what TS does with the front wheels...he turns them UP the track, then guns the engine in an attempt to swing the rear end DOWN toward the inside of the track (which is what happened), trying to miss him. I believe TS came to realize the kid had gotten so close to the car he was going to hit him with his rear, but unfortunately trying to make a last second attempt to miss him didn't work. I also can't tell from the video, but I wonder if the kid might have also slipped or lost his balance as he was coming down the track and just got closer than he really wanted.

Answer this question. If Josh Gordon gets pulled over tomorrow for speeding, will you wait for the sobriety test results or just say he was drunk because of the past DUI's?

My answer to this question, and yours above, is I would not be surprised. But I am not going to automatically say he was drunk just because of the previous DUI's. I will wait till all the evidence is in. Everyone on here says Stewart is guilty and caused the death because of past incidents. I look at the evidence I have seen and say I see zero proof so far that he is the blame for the death.

Sorry, but your post holds no merit. You say Gordon has a positive test to support alleged mistake, well so does Tony. Tony has gotten mad plenty of times in the past and retaliated against other drivers which in your comparison is the exact same.

Stewart was guilty in the past so to say he wasn't this time is pure speculation just as everyone who says he is guilty.

The bottomline is what I've already said, Tony is now reaping what he has sown. Whether it's deserved or not, it's his reputation that has put doubt in a lot of peoples mind about his complete innocence in this incident. Whether it fair or not it is what it is and Tony has no one to blame but himself for the reputation he has created.

I agree with Deuce... Yes you read that correctly. If TS didn't see him why did he rev the engine going past him? Kid got out of the car, Stewart will get off with maybe a personal settlement. The man upstairs will be the final judge.

You've never had a car you were following miss a pot hole or something else in the road that you didn't see until the car in front of you passed it and then you hit it because there wasn't time to react?

A pot hole in the ground is a tad different than a person, standing up, at the scene of a wreck...

Have you ever sat inside a Sprint car?

I don't need to sit in a sprint car... AJG said Stewart was following the exact same line as the car in front of him (how he knows that, I have no idea). The car in front of him did not hit Ward. So again, in two seconds Ward was able to miss the first car and get in the way of Stewart's, but Stewart couldn't have missed him? I just don't follow...

I just watched the video a few times and it looks like to me Stewart was on a higher line than the car in front of him. It could easily be a combination of that higher line and Ward stepping too far down.

Not saying whose at fault, just responding to how it's possible the car in front avoided him and Stewart didn't.

Then if Stewart was on a higher line, that means he had nothing obstructing his view of the kid standing in front of him on the track. Makes it look even worse for TS if that is the case.

Driving a normal passenger car is a tad different than driving a sprint car to.

So you don't need to know what he could or couldn't see? If he's following the same line, don't you think it's possible the car in front of him is blocking his view? Ward was clearly walking towards Stewarts car...not the car in front of Stewart.
