August 12, 201412 yr Doesn't take an expert to understand that only one car hit the guy that was so hard to see on the track. Again, exactly 3 cars passed him when he walked into the range that someone could have hit him. It's not like the entire field passed before he was hit by Stewart.

Then Ward steps down the track towards the middle pointing...the car in front of Stewart dodges him Stewart comes in on the same line...maybe slightly higher but it also looks like Ward steps further down possibly in front of TS.

In other words he had his line, Ward comes too close, Stewart jerks the wheel and gets loose. I have conditioned tires for a sprint car hundreds of times. They make a tool to groove the thread. Allows heat to dissipate and for more traction. At that speed, that car simply isn't as responsive as you might assume your sedan or SUV to be. It takes acceleration to get the car, which is staggered for the banking and the consistent turn, to move it more rapidly. It seems clear to me in the video he gave it gas to move it. If that makes sense and is agreeable, then it's up to interpretation as to the reason why he did it. He very well have "goosed" it to avoid him, or maybe he was trying to get close to him. I think when it's all said and done, it will be an incident that will have no definitive proof one way or the other and there will be no charge. Tony's word will be the end of it. I'm sure, regardless what the truth may be in either direction, Stewart says he was trying to avoid him. And I doubt that he did as I said before.

Ward is partially at fault for being out of his car and walking on the track... Stewart did not try to avoid him, IMO. My opinion on this still hasn't changed.
