Like you all, i'm confused why he is shown with that flashlight looking like he was searching for his cell phone and then goes and commits suicide. Does anyone know if the cell phone has been found?

May have taken the flashlight not wanting to turn on lights in the next door building or not being able to turn any on.

 

A young man that I worked with several years ago went to great lengths to commit suicide including buying a new rope and ladder to take out into the woods. So taking a flashlight to a vacant building isn't suspicious IMO.

I guess using the flashlight and looking at the ground and appearing like he was looking for something is what is suspicious. They said he was found with a bottle of wine, is it safe to say that he was drunk after being out all night or has that not been said?

The coroner's report positively ID'd the body found on E. McMillan last night as Brogan Dulle. Cause of death: Asphyxiation by hanging.

 

And according to what I was listening to on the radio about 1 or so, the Hamilton County coroner used the word "suicide" in the info release.

Like George said...he was walking up and down the streets looking for something. Why was he doing that if he was just going next door to commit suicide?

I find it unrealistic that someone would have murdered this young man and put his body in a house that just happens to be next door to his home. For all we know, the loss of his cell phone may have been the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back in his life and the thing that caused him to ultimately take his own life.

Agreed! On the weekends I work just a couple blocks away, if someone is going to commit a brutal crime, they will not take time to drag a body anywhere, they will be running like crazy away from the area.

 

As I touched on, as did VOR, this kid had some issues, well most people do anyway. I didn't check all the time lines, but something else could have happened on the way to find his phone, and as you said, something could have sent him over the edge, as things could have been adding up. Then again, with issues he was having we know nothing about, but they keep adding up, and we don't know what is going through someone's mind, even when they seem happy.

In a lot of these unusual situations as people try to analyze what did or didn't happen you have to consider that there is no rational explanation. IMO there is never a rational explanation for suicide. There is always something off kilter mentally in a suicide. Same is true in many crimes. Often there is no rational explanation for why people do what they do.

Based on what I've read, the police and/or other search parties searched around the building, but noticed nothing strange. The building was apparently secure and they had no reason to believe he was in it. It was not "abandoned" like some said. The video I watched indicated that possibly a doctor used parts of the building while other parts were under renovation. The people who used it were not there on a daily basis. My guess is that they showed up after not having been there a few days, and noticed something out of the ordinary. Whether it was the broken window on the fire escape, which was apparently difficult to get to...or something moved around inside. That's when they probably called the police because they feared someone had broken into their building. Once police arrived and searched, they found the body. I haven't read the entire thread, so if this has all been covered or if I'm wrong...sorry.

Not necessarily. A lot of people possibly walked through there from the time he did which might hurt the chances of the dog picking up the scent.

I agree that the UC community jumping in was the force behind his disappearance getting the attention.
