April 30, 201412 yr I agree that he is an idiot. As someone involved with the NBA you really cannot do any worse than be seen as a racist. I cannot condone his adulterous or racist behavior. But I'm not going to change my mind that it is a slippery slope when you allow people to be punished for their opinions. Maybe the league will get 100% support of the other owners but you have to think that there our others with some skeletons in their closets as well. Might think twice before voting. You don't think people should be allowed to be punished for their opinions? If you call your boss a horse's backside, your opinion, you don't think it's within his right to fire you?

The Clippers have never been worth more than they are worth now. He's going to laugh his racist butt to the bank and add to his net worth. He's not fighting for his team. Why should anyone fight for him? Nobody in their right mind will fight for him. He's a bigot who will die off shortly and nobody will miss him. The standards of the average American employee isn't the same as an NBA owner. And there should be different standards.
April 30, 201412 yr I think a better analogy would be: The plant manager of a factory is at a private function and he makes several offensive comments about blacks, whites, gays, Jews and Christians. Word of what the plant manager says gets back to the factory and spreads like wildfire. The plant manager has a history of making offensive comments and even lost a labor case and settled out of court with a former employee who accused him of racism. Once word of the plant manger's comments get back to the entire plant the employees are upset and are contemplating walking out on the job. When confronted about those statements the plant manager admits to making the comments. What should be done?
