Been there, really tough time but ended up the greatest thing that ever happened to me as without the breakup I wouldn't be with my wife of 28 years nor have my 3 great kids. Have faith that things will work out for you in the end. Good luck.

Oh I'm very much a mean person too when I get crapped on. It takes a lot to make me "break bad" but once you get there, payback is coming.

 

Luckily, I've been able to channel my anger to the gym this week.

I wouldn't ever go out of my way, but when I was presented an opportunity to burn someone that burned me, I always took it. I've gotten a "You didn't even act like I was there" text several times. Misson: Accomplished.

Sure. There are two women who truly turned my world upside down in every wonderful way and then left me completely crushed when everything came crashing down at the end. I know both those women changed me in ways I can't even describe. And truth be told, some part of me is going to be in love with them for as long as I live. But I am the man I am now because of things I learned about myself in those times.

I usually find that after something like this happens something good

When you act that way and you don't get that text. That's when you know there won't be a rekindling.

It's happened to me 2 times, one from a girl I dated early in my college days and another from my ex-wife. The college one I should have seen coming, I was way more into her than she was me in hind sight. My ex-wife though completely blindsided me. Had been with her for almost 10 years, house in a subdivision, kid, both careers doing pretty good and were talking about having another kid. Then within a month started being cool to me then ice cold then coming home late from work. Checked phone records and sure enough she was fooling around with someone at work. That was that and I was reeling. I spent about 2 1/2 years single. I didn't date at all the first year. Nothing serious the next year and a half and then I got a message on facebook from my very first girlfriend I ever had in highschool. We've been together ever since and we work to make the other one happy and it is a great thing. Both of our first marriages ended badly and I think we appreciate each other even more because of it. I should have stayed with that girl the first time but she was younger than me, I was going to college and was going to conquer the world and every coed I crossed paths with. I tried to get her back about a year after I broke up with her and she said no but I guess things work out in the end, epsecially since she is way too good looking for me! Keep your head up the right one is still out there.

So what I'm saying is, be very reserved but enjoy the ride for the first 6 months and during the next 6 months, try to clear her face from your mind and really evaluate stuff. After 12 months you will see somewhat of a picture and paths.

I have never been heartbroken, but i know what it feels like to hurt. i don't let people in close enough for my heart to break, best thing when you're hurting or heartbroken is to bee around people. You may not want to but it helps oh so much.
