You guys are convinced the refs had it out for the Cats. I can't compete with that. :lol2: This kind of comment drives me nuts on here by non UK fans .You act like UK fans are crazy and you have some superior basketball mind. No one said the refs were out to get UK . He just said there were a couple of bad foul calls in the first half. I don't know if I agree with him but come on.
March 24, 201412 yr Everyone still hoping the twins leave after this season? It depends on what recruits we lose if they stay lol. Seriously though I've said for a long time they aren't ready for the NBA and they can only get better if they stay. There was only 1 of Cal's recruits I was happy left early and that was Archie from last years team. He was beyond bad and selfish.
March 24, 201412 yr I think what makes me happiest about this is they took Wichita State's 'A' game and still won. Now granted, UK played an 'A' game for most of the day too, but still, beat a team that shot 55.1% from the field, 47.6% from three on 21 attempts (and that was after a couple of late misses when they got a bit desperate).... UK didn't beat them when they had an off day. They got to put on display that there was a legitimate reason people thought they were that good. Excellent post!
March 24, 201412 yr SEC undefeated. Boom. I told some people SEC was perhaps a little better than everyone thought. Their play in the NCAA and NIT tourneys are starting to support this. Not a lot of great teams but quite a few good teams and a physical conference top to bottom.

Not a lot of great teams but quite a few good teams and a physical conference top to bottom. They're definitely exceeding expectations in the NCAA. Great stuff from UK and Tennessee. But I'd be careful about drawing any conclusions from performance in the NIT at this point. They're winning home games against teams like Vermont and Indiana State that, if they played those fixtures in November, would be the kinds of games that fans have to endure to get through to the good parts of the schedule. Besides, after winning games against mediocre first round opponents, Missouri and Georgia were both just knocked out of the tournament by lower-seeded teams from Conference USA.

March 24, 201412 yr UK obviously made some good defensive adjustments at the half and stopped giving up all the easy baskets they gave up in the first half. Otherwise the outcome would have been different.:thumb:

March 24, 201412 yr I haven't had that much fun after winning a game since Brandon Knight made the final shot to beat OSU. Being the underdog and winning is so much more satisfying than being the proverbial favorite. I was more relieved than excited after UK won the championship. This game was just awesome, even might have shed some happy tears.
March 24, 201412 yr I hope the twins stay! With how they've been playing as of late, I hope they do as well. Or at least Andrew so that we can have ourselves a PG who has some experience.
