I am just going to enjoy this win for a couple of days before I starting thinking about Louisville.

 

That was just a fantastic game to watch. Both teams were playing at a high level and hitting tough shots and making open shots and for the most part playing pretty good defense.

 

Hope the ride continues for a few more games.

[/h]I’m really proud of the fight in this team and its ability to withstand adversity. The biggest play of the game: Dakari's offensive rebound. James Young made a big 3, Andrew made some clutch free throws, Julius grabbed a ton of rebounds and Aaron made some shots. But without Dakari’s rebound after a missed free throw when we were down four, we don’t win. It became anyone’s game when he rebounded that ball.

I didnt read all the posts but I am a little worried about our point guard committing 6 turnovers. I am sure if I watch the tape there are a few more passes that were deflected or balls that were knocked loose that we ended up with. We wont win the next game if our point guard is accountable for for almost 10 turnovers. That being said I do admire how we played through those mistakes.

I am probably not going to read through 150 posts but man what an awesome game. I was an absolute nervous wreck. Couldn't even cheer as that last shot clanked off the rim. Never felt like that while watching a UK game. What a great win.

I did watch the game and I think our best shooting performance of the year helped cover some of the mistakes. His decisions are better and I am comfortable with him at the line late in the game. He has to be able to get to the rim if teams play us man like WS did. We beat a quality team. They are one of the best 5 teams in the country. We all have weaknesses and if we ignore them they will bite us in the rear. Great win for sure. Take care of the ball better becuase there four more wins to be had.

Got ya....you're right.

 

Here's a problem though I have with his post. He makes it sound as if no one can complain about bad play or question the holier than thou Coach Cal.

 

I made a thread a month back Wondering if coach Cal was on thin ice with some fans due to the play of the team etc. and it was automatically interpretted as I was saying Coach Cal must go even though in the very first post of that thread I said I don't want any other coach here.

 

It's the jumping to conclusions that some people have anytime a fan questions anything about UK's program or it's players etc. when it couldn't be further from the truth.

 

I have been on the twins back all season. did they have a good game yesterday? Yes, but they also, especially in the first half, had a very painful game to watch. They combined for 7 or 8 turnovers in the first half alone and many of those turnovers were from being lazy etc. with their passes. To get on people for pointing that out is just silly.

 

I know his posts are probably 90% geared to me only because I tend to point out flaws, but the problem is they are the same flaws that others repeat on pre game shows etc. Just because some of us would like to see improvements we get bashed, and thank god there have been improvements because if this team didn't improve from getting blown out by SC only a couple weeks ago then we'd be in the same boat as Duke right now or Kansas or Ohio St. etc.

 

So don't jump to conclusions is all 'I ask of people who are first to condemn us by putting words in our mouths instead of making the same mistake I made when first reading Jumper_Dads post, sit back and read what is actually said.
