Trinity 74 Hopkinsville 56

Featured Replies

Trinity was awful the first half against Scott Co. They corrected and closed in the second half but dug themselves to deep a hole.

That's what I'm holding on to. I don't think the Rocks will dig into an early hole this time around.

there was an outside shooter for SC that was unconscious behind the arc last time. I'll bet that becomes a point of emphasis.

And the Hoptown hype train is over.

There certainly was some strong, strong talk about Hoptown on this board for such a beatdown.

So far, it's looking like we'll get to test my theory that the crowd will be behind Scott County more than Trinity.

Edwards held in check - wow. T is playing awesome. Congrats

Well I thought the Tigers would win this one but the better team did win. Hoptown got killed on the boards which cost them dearly.

No sign of ole Roy Dale or GreenvilleKy or the rest of the Hoptown drum bangers. Where y'all at?

As brilliantly stated once before on the board,,,,,,,,better athletes does not mean better basketball players....today the athletes were schooled.

Did we have the flashlights out tonight?

This game reinforced what some around hoptown have said. Haworth can't win against teams that are close to hoptown in talent. Hoptown had state title talent.

Haworth simply didn't have his guys anywhere near prepared. The offense was embarrassing to watch. Stupid 3 after stupid. 3. Clearly what trinity wanted. Since hoptown wasn't going to have the advantage on the boards they couldn't getaway with stupid shots.

Then on defense when it became apperant that their pressure wasn't going to work, instead of backing off they continued to press and trinity continued to make Haworth look stupid .

Same thing that happened last year. This time a team dismallted Haworth and the tigers. Last year one player did

Lots of folks think Haworth is jumping ship as the tide shifts away in district 8 next year.

Was Trinity boring today?

Yes. This was an extremely boring game to watch. Not a knock on them, as they are definitely the heavy favorite to win it all and played an excellent game, but I've cheered against them, because I would much rather have watched Ballard this tournament, or Hoptown in the next round or two.

Did you feel this same way after Hoptown's big win on Wednesday?

Wow. Hoptown went from unstoppable to this in juts under 48 hours.

Hoptown had a huge talent advantage Wednesday. Go back and read my posts about hoptown and you'll see that I've said the trinity game would be a test as to whether Haworth had learned a lesson from last years state tournament.

Namely , would he , on the bigger college court, continue to press against a team that was having no trouble beating the press .

The part that was shocking to me was how bad hoptown was on the offensive end. Bad shot after bad shot. They had simply leaned they could get away with them because they could dominate region 2 teams on the boards. Not going to happen vs. trinity.
