Trinity looked better today than they did Wednesday. That's not good for everyone else.

 

Potential rematch with Scott County that would be really tough. I can't justify claiming that Hopkinsville wasn't as good as advertised then turn around and use the game as a measuring stick for how good the Shamrocks are.

 

I'll be VERY worried about Trinity's chances in the Scott County rematch. If that ends up happening, it'll be hugely important for Trinity not to fall into an early hole like they did last time.

Like I said Hoptown hasn't played the teams like Trinity played this year. It showed today

Nice season for Hoptown. I think what many teams out in the state have to do and not just at Holiday Tournament time, but in February is play the better teams in the 6th, 7th, and 11th regions. The 9th finally started doing that over the last 7-10 years and you do get more competitive. It is really not helping much when you dominate your area, but just don't get tested late when teams have improved.

 

I believe Hoptown would have shown better if they had done that. Like it or not, the Louisville/Lexington areas have tougher schedules and are more tested, although they lose some, than other areas. It simply is the number of quality teams you can play, nothing else. That does prepare you better most years unless you have just that dominating of a team from another area.

Congratulations to Trinity. The tournament looks like theirs to lose, especially if they keep playing like this.

I'll admit that I wanted a fellow West Kentucky program to have a better showing, but I am amazed at Trinity's margin of victory!

VERY concerned about a potential rematch with Scott County. Spalding's size under the basket isn't as clear an advantage against them as it is against most others.

Trinity was awful the first half against Scott Co. They corrected and closed in the second half but dug themselves to deep a hole. If it is a T/SC semi I really don't think Long matches well with Spalding. As I recall he wasn't much of a factor in the first game.
