Read my previous posts. Never said hoptown was unstoppable. In fact I said we'd learn a lot about Haworth against trinity. Read my above post.

I follow Hoptown quite a bit and I will add my two cents. I can say this was the 2nd worst game Hoptown played this year offensively. I feel bad for everyone who was looking forward to a better game, Hoptown didn't show up. I haven't seen stats yet, but I am sure that Trinity had more turnovers than normal but Hoptown didn't convert many of them into points. They were terrible on the boards which is one of their strengths, and they couldn't hit a shot in the paint even when Spaulding wasn't in the game. Edwards didn't drive at all today until the last quarter, they didn't play their game at all. They played right into Trinity's hands. I will lay that on coaching as much as the players. Trinity, congrats to them btw, controlled the tempo and seemed to shoot the lights out.

I think the turning point was midway through the 2nd quarter when Hoptown got hit for 3 quick fouls and Trinity hit 2 big 3's. The Tigers never recovered. If this game is played 10 times, I still think Hoptown wins at least half of the time, and koolaid or not, I have seen both Ballard and Hoptown play nationally ranked teams, when they are on, they are very similar. Hoptown has not played a team as disciplined as Trinity this year, but Trinity has played numerous times against teams like Hoptown so they were definitely better prepared. Sometimes you don't have a good game (I'm thinking Duke today), and Hoptown didn't. Trinity earned the win, they were the better team on the floor, and congrats to them on being so disciplined.

Yes. This was an extremely boring game to watch. Not a knock on them, as they are definitely the heavy favorite to win it all and played an excellent game, but I've cheered against them, because I would much rather have watched Ballard this tournament, or Hoptown in the next round or two.

I think the Seaton Center on UK's campus is open till midnight on Fridays if you prefer to watch undisiciplined, poor coached kids play.

Did we have the flashlights out tonight?
Apparently, the Rocks faithful failed to recharge the batteries in their devious electronic devices.:dancingpa
Spalding is a ton of fun to watch. Word.

He just turned 17! I understand he is a very high quality person too. Polite, humble, no adverse attitude qualities......

I hope you aren't insinuating something about Ballard and Coach Renner.

I will say Hoptown was very disappointing, and they were a big part of the reason this game turned out to be a dud.

Ballard?...Are they in the state tournament?...

And your fan base wonders why you're so disliked by other schools. Trinity was insignificant in basketball for most of its history. Coach Szabo has done a great job building that program. Ballard has been successful for a long, long time. Being disrespectful to their kids & coaches is uncalled for and quite frankly, classless.

Who is even referring to Ballard?

If Hopkinsville's plan was give it to Cager and let him wildly go to the basket every trip down the floor, it worked to perfection.

I don't believe citycat is a T supporter though I could be wrong.

Nobody said a thing about Ballard, check yourself.

Make of it what you will.. I believe citycat was responding to a post by Rez, who stated he/she would rather have watched Ballard or Hoptown

And of course you are WRONG. This thread is about the state tournament and the two teams that Trinity beat in the first two rounds.....Owensboro and Hopkinsville......

I understand that the Trinity and Ballard fanbases are rivals but do not interject me in the middle of that. I am not from the "golden triangle".
