February 16, 201511 yr Was in Miani two weeks back. They have Dunkin' Doughnuts all over the place. Every night on my way back to my hotel, I'd stop and get two "Croissant Doughnuts" - $1.49 each - But Excellent, Thick with a croissant texture!!! That plus a LARGE cappuccino (sp) and I was ready for bed.
February 16, 201511 yr Haven't read all of the responses, so apologies if this has been said already. On Vine street is Holthous (sp?) Donuts..... it was 9 degrees Saturday with snow and 20 mph winds. Still, the line was out the door 10 deep in the cold.........worth every goose bump. You watch them make the donuts while you are waiting in line.........they were making maple/bacon while I was watching.

Tiny little place. Have a maple/bacon one sitting here with my name on it for the morning. Tried a double chocolate tonight and it was really good.
July 1, 201511 yr So I was looking at building permits issued in Boone County and I see a permit issued for Paradise Donuts in Hebron, KY. Anyone have any info on this? I saw that there is a chain, but I have never been.
August 18, 201511 yr The new doughnut place in Maysville is really good. Wife brought some home Sunday & the jelly doughnuts (my favorite) were delicious. The place Yedboy mentioned in post #54 is pretty decent. The Amish store Papa talked about, the one at the Fleming/Mason County line is really good. Still, my favorite is what's-her-name's bakery in Alexandria. Sandwiched between a couple of Speedways.
August 18, 201511 yr Author Sadly, since my hip surgery when I found out my blood sugar and A1C was way high, I haven't had a doughnut. That was March 30th. Since then they both have come way down, but to do so I have had to cut a lot of sweets out of my diet.:depressed:
