Dad kills teen in daughters bedroom

Featured Replies

I'm not a lawyer but I don't see any way she is charged.

She said she didn't know who it was, made dad believe it was an intruder, boy went for his pants/phone/something and the dad felt threatened and shot him.

If girl up front says daddy this is my boyfriend, he's not getting shot. This entire situation is on the girl, snuck him in and then lied to her dad resulting in him being shot.

How does the father not know who his daughter's boyfriend is?

Dad may have forbid her from dating until X age, so she was keeping it from him. He may not have been involved in his daughters life. Dude could have been a booty call and a first time hook up?

As I said, I'm not a lawyer but don't think it rises to the level that she would be charged, or at least brought to trial.

You may be correct, but if the father is charged then IMO she has to be charged as well.

Or a LOT less teenage boys sneaking in to girlfriends houses.:idunno:

Yeah. And if you make drinking and drugs illegal and make people go to jail for doing it, everyone will stop....

Oh wait...

Poor analogy. The analogy to make would have been...those caught doing those things you mentioned illegally would run the chances of legally getting shot in the head. Yeah, then there would be a lot less of that going on.

So you think a teenage boy hanging out with a teenage girl is more damaging than drinking or drugs?

Did un-scientific poll during after school commute this afternoon...given the facts as we know them all of the girls in the car thought that the daughter was the one with blame in this deal.

Question for the guys on here - if you sneaked into a girl's bedroom and you did not know the parents, what would you expect to happen if caught? Personally, I would expect to get shot and would be thankful if I got caught and didn't get shot. My point being whether she invited me or not, I would be worried about being shot if I got caught by the dad. And secondly, the blame is on the boy who sneaked in.

Well first off if a man with a gun told me not to move I wouldn't, then as soon as the girl said she didn't know me I would call her by her entire name and say anything I could to let the dad know that I did know her.

How...in the world...did you come up with that from my posts.:idunno:

I made the "slightly" tongue in cheek remark that if boys actually thought they could/would get shot sneaking into a girls house, AND it was actually legal to shot them willy nilly for doing so...then yes, fewer boys would be sneaking in to girls' houses. My goodness that only stands to reason. Then in my next analogy that I said you should have used, if it were legal to just shoot people drinking under age or doing drugs, fewer people would do those things as well. Again, stands to reason.

Not sure how you arrived at the question you did, but no where did I say I think that.

Exactly, not get shot. What's wrong with you people?

I am so glad someone else posted this! I've wanted to post this for hours, but figured I was the only one who thought that way.

In this day and age, you better be worried about getting shot.
