Dad kills teen in daughters bedroom

Featured Replies

Right, that's his side of how it went down. He made sure we'll never know the victim's side.

What would you have done in that situation? Man is in your daughter's room, daughter says she doesn't know him, you tell him to not move while holding a gun on him and then he makes a sudden movement towards (you, your daughter, his jacket or anything) what would you do Mustang, in that situation?

Pure conjecture on your part. For all we know he came in and opened fire, then told her she needed to tell the cops that she didn't know him.

For all we know it happened exactly the way the father, daughter, and son said it did...the pure conjecture is on your part. Police investigation seems to jive with the version given by the family, nothing has been said or even brought up to allude to it happening any other way.

I wouldn't have a gun as I don't believe in violence, so I would never find myself in that situation.

Except we already know they lied about the daughter not knowing him. So if she lied about that, why should we believe anything else said?

You don't believe in violence? So if the guy was attacking your daughter you'd stand there and call 911 or would you actually be violent and try to stop him?

Only the daughter lied about that at the point of the incident, under police questioning during the investigation she admitted the truth. There is no one saying that the dad or anyone else lied to the police, just the daughter lying to the police.

No one was attacking her though. He was having (consensual) sex with her.

You can't just kill someone and then after the fact say "whoops, my bad" and not be held responsible.

Now that it's known that she did in fact know him, do you think he should be charged with a crime?

I didn't say she was, I asked what would you do in a similar situation where you found you daughter being attacked in her bedroom? Call 911 and plead for him to quit or would you take up violence and get involved?

Actually that is what the DA is saying, that based on the information that the father had at the time he was justified in shooting the boy, even though that info came out to be false later. DA is stating that he does not expect that the father will be indicted.

As soon as the brother told him someone else was under the covers with her, I would've called 911. Then I would've went in the room. If he was attacking her, I'd physically restrain him (or at least attempt to) so she could flee the area. I wouldn't attack him, unless I had 100% proof he had a deadly weapon.

I hope your never in that situation, because if he does have a deadly weapon and you try to just hold him (Restrain him) your probably going to get hurt.

You crawl into bed with Rambos daughter and both are silent when Rambo comes in this is what happens. As guy with a daughter turning 1 next month and an owner of 4 weapons and over 5k rounds to feed it, I'll remember this story.

That's a risk I'm willing to take. There's no way I'd be able to live with myself if I killed someone who wasn't armed. No chance. I'd much rather die trying to peacefully resolve a situation with an armed individual than murder an unarmed innocent person. JMO.

When you have kids, and if one of those is a daughter, revisit this thread when she's 5, 10, 15 and let us all know if you feel the same.

FWIW an unarmed person can kill you pretty easily also, if they can get a hold of you they can kill you.
