So he got a scholly to an SEC school?? Bravo. Pretty fortunate to do so, considering how his high school career ended...on suspension. And it wasn't a secret as to why he was suspended. Where did that SEC scholly get him?? That lasted for a little over 1 semester before he screwed up and was sent packing. That's something to be proud of?? Then he lands on his feet, gets a second chance at another top 25 school. Gets in trouble again, gets shown the door again, although this stint lasted twice as long (still only a year) and he did get to see the field. And then he gets arrested soon after being shown the door. All the talent, and D1 offers, and full rides don't mean a thing if you don't take advantage of them. And that's why people are so hard on him.

Ummm...well, neither is he (Pike) when you get down to it. He had his chance, and unfortunately for reasons mostly of his own doing, he was dismissed. Which, let me add, is a very sad thing, and it's always a sad event when a young man with potential has the world at his feet and can't or better said won't take advantage of it. I have seen it a hundred times and have personally been involved with several kids who have wasted great opportunities, kids I have tried to mentor, and it just makes me sick to my stomach to see. Hopefully the kid can get on the right path somehow...but it's going to take the want to and effort on his part to do it.

Lighten up. How many mistakes can a guy make before it enters the phase where jokes are permitted?

Zeke is an adult. He has wasted (no pun intended) multiple opportunities that a lot of people would love to have. He has made his own bed and now must lie in it.

 

I don't think anyone on here is taking joy in his struggles but merely pointing out that he has squandered the great opportunities he has had and needs help.

I have said many things I regret saying, however, I ususally do not joke about people's hard times or difficulties. Now I will say they have done something stupid, but not joking about it. People can say what they want, however, all I said is I get no joy from it and can't understand why others do.

 

Read other posts I have made about this, I have not excused his behavior and said he should take the consequences if guilty. I also believe as you that he appears to need help.

 

It appears to me some are getting joy from it. I understand there are those with a totally different mindset than mine. Just sharing my thoughts that I don't agree with them.

Must have been a bad mid afternoon on the 11th for you to warrant taking aim at a young man struggling with life and pulling the typing trigger. I'd like to think most of us would think you could do better than that regardless of football allegiances and politics.

Ummm....kid was good enough to earn a scholarship to Auburn, more than anyone hanging out on this board has accomplished.
