My whole issue with the Pike situation: 'schadenfreude'.

 

It seems like each time Pike messes up, there are people who are waiting to say "I told you so... told you I was right about this kid all along".

And it's not like this dude is in high school... He's had more than enough time to straighten out his life and he refuses to do so. I don't remember these people defending Chane Behanan.

 

Both a very fair and good point on comparing Behanan and Pike.

And my point exactly. I am sure the kid knows how bad he has screwed things up, his parents as well. And yes, in my mind a 20 something year old is still a kid. I cannot imagine being his parent and having to see all the folks piling on, that he upset b/c he made their kid look bad or heaven forbid acted childish in HS. Again, I refuse to throw stones, only pray he figures it out. As for Behanan, plenty of defending him elsewhere, this is a UK board, no self respecting UK fan gonna defend a Card

So many inaccuracies in here.

 

First off, part of the problem with Pike is numerous people, apparently including yourself, still want to treat a grown man as a child. When you're an adult, your decisions have consequences. You have to deal with those consequences.

 

Secondly, no one on here wants to see him fail. I'd love for him to turn it around, but at the end of the day when an adult has been given chance after chance after chance, and continues to screw it up, through no one's fault but his own, it gets to a point that it stops being "sad" or "unfortunate" and becomes downright comical.

 

Thirdly, this isn't a UK board. Plenty of Cards fans on here who have been rightly critical of Chane, and plenty of UK fans who have shared the same concerns you have for Pike for Chane. The major difference is none of the Cards fans got their panties in a wad when people cracked jokes at Chane's expense.

Arrest.org has mug shots from almost every county in KY. I have been looking for Pike on there and no picture. I don't think this happened.
