Prayers for a speedy recovery!

Talked to Birdsfan on the phone today and got some good news. He was sitting up today in his chair eating breakfast and feeling better and the best part is he was off the bi-pap for a good hour and a half! Word is they want to get him off it for 12 hours a day and get all of the fluid off of him before before they let him out of ICU, if I remember that correctly, so he's off to a good start. Another piece of good news is it looks like he won't be needing an infusion pump like one of the doctors was thinking he might, that is a big sigh of relief for BF as I know it was weighing on his mind pretty heavily.

My plan is to visit him tomorrow, would have today or yesterday but I've been a bit "hobbled" but I won't let that stop me tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have even more good news to report to you all. Please keep up the prayers, they are doing him a world of good which, by the way, he is extremely grateful for. Thank you, fellow BGPers!

Being Birdsfan friend always has and always will be a true joy for me. He's just such a great friend and as true blue as they come.

Had a really good visit with with Birdsfan today! Surprised him with a visit from another one of his good friends RebelK (I'm sure many of you remember her) and Mr RebelK, he was happy as a pig in slop to see them both! Kudos to them for driving up here from Charlestown Indiana just to visit him, that's a true friendship right there and they are such wonderful people that both BF and I are proud to call them friends.

I am very happy to report that he seemed so much better today than he's looked in the last several weeks. He still has a way to go yet, but he has definitely improved and that is an awesome sign! He was off the bi-pap before and while we were there and he had a ball talking and joking with all of us. My wife, daughter and my almost two year old grandson visited him as well which made him really happy. We were all sitting around talking about our aches and pains since we've gotten older and BF looks at me and says "tell all the good people of BGP I was in good spirits until you all showed up and depressed me". :lol2: It's quick quips like that makes me feel he is on the mend and gradually returning to his good old self, nothing warms the heart quite like that!

Again, I thank you all for the continued prayers and he wants you all to know that he does even more. :thumb:

Yay for Birdsfan! Can't wait until he is home and we are texting back and forth about American Idol or some silly SyFy movie!

Thanks for keeping me lifted up in prayer. They have worked! When I'm better and able to talk, I will share some examples. I've been pleading with Christ to explain what it it is he wants me to find in all of this sudden reversal of what I thought was a blessed new life and a calling for my future.
