I packed my lunch last night. Decided on good old PB and J. My wife was in the kitchen while I was putting my lunch together, and she told me that I was putting too much jelly on the sandwich. She then informed me that the proper way to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is to go heavy on the peanut butter.

....guess I can't ever ask my wife to pack my lunch now :wtf:

Egalitarian sandwich-making for me.

Didn't know that there were "rules" on PB&J...

I have to have Jif peanut butter! (or Kroger brand since it's the same thing)

Anybody use the crunchy peanut butter?

I think you must go 50/50 on this.

Crunchy PB for me.

As an aside, the worst crap ever made was that jar of PB&J swirled together. Horrid.

I say equal, if not just a little more on the jelly side.

More often than not, I'm a crunchy peanut butter kind of guy. Sometimes you've just gotta go with creamy though.

Depends on when you're eating the sandwich.

If you're not going to eat it for a while, you need to go light on the jelly so that it doesn't bleed through the bread. Either way tough, there should be more peanut butter in a proper peanut butter and jelly.

Crunchy PB for me.

Great minds, Randy... great minds.

Crunchy is the only way.

............

Jar of peanut butter and a spoon...save the bread and the jelly.

This...all day.

Side note: PB & J on toast is a little piece of heaven.

Right there with you. And I always put the peanut butter on first, while the bread is still at it's hottest. That way it's nice and soft by the time you're done applying the jelly.

Kroger is good but it is made by a third party not Jif
