February 10, 201412 yr Apparently this wasn't any kind of revelation. He came out months back to his teammates and most were already aware. He just chose this avenue to bring it to the attention of everyone else. He is a projected mid-round draft prospect and my guess is most NFL teams already knew. Seems like a cool dude and though not his intent, he is a pioneer of sorts.

I read something last week that said that as many as four guys in the NFL could be coming out of the closet very soon. I wonder if Sam is one of those four.
February 10, 201412 yr 3rd to 5th rounder. While the SEC co-defensive player of the year, Sam is undersized and didn't have a good week at the Senior Bowl practices per Kiper.
