January 14, 201412 yr On US 42 in Florence, heading down the hill towards Union. On the hillside that overlooks the Pleasant Valley/Gunpowder intersection (across from the UDF). Thanks. I'm not very familiar with that area, but I'll try that out in the near future. :thumb:
January 14, 201412 yr On US 42 in Florence, heading down the hill towards Union. On the hillside that overlooks the Pleasant Valley/Gunpowder intersection (across from the UDF). There's also one in Lexington that's just down the street from the Logan's Roadhouse on Man O' War.
January 14, 201412 yr Thanks. I'm not very familiar with that area, but I'll try that out in the near future. :thumb: If you're coming from the interstate, it'll be on your right-hand side. Look for the McDonald's that's more towards the top of the hill. Once you see that, you're within shouting distance. I believe Culvers uses the same entrance as the Barlycorns that's there.
January 14, 201412 yr Whopper used to be head and shoulders above all else, but for the last few years their produce has been subpar. Lettuce, Pickles, tomatoes and even Onions are not the same quality as several years ago. Steak and Shake and Culvers are both pretty good, Big Mac doesn't get much love but sometimes that's all I want. Wendy's Double with no Cheese (I hate their cheese) is pretty hard to beat day in and day out. Retired Burgers that I loved: Hardees Bacon Cheeseburger (Circa 1986-199?) was my all time favorite until Hardees changes their burgers. McDLT Hot Side Hot and Cold Side Cold...loved this burger A friend just told me that "Cookout" had the best FF burger he had ever eaten. The only one I have seen so far is in Richmond and when we tried to go there wasn't any parking and 20 cars in the drive through...we will try it at some point to see for our selves
January 14, 201412 yr Never heard of it. Is there one in NKY? Culver's rocks! I do not generally eat fast foot burgers but they are tasty. Home of the Butter Burger.
January 14, 201412 yr Tried Burger King's "Big King" the other day. Complete waste of money. Don't bother with it.
January 14, 201412 yr CWB (or anyone else, for that matter) - Have you tried Home Run Burgers yet? I was down in Louisville on Saturday, and headed to the Quest Outdoors store over by St. Matthews, and saw it next door. Unfortunately, we had already eaten about an hour or so before, and weren't hungry. But, wondered if they were any good. (I also don't know if they qualifiy as "fast-food", since I don't remember any sort of drive-thru.) We ate there last night. I love it. You can get eggs on your burger there.
January 14, 201412 yr We ate there last night. I love it. You can get eggs on your burger there. Can honestly say that I've never had an egg on my burger.
January 14, 201412 yr Deuce, is it a chain, or a stand alone type of restaurant? That's the only one I've ever seen.
January 14, 201412 yr Can honestly say that I've never had an egg on my burger. I have. It's not bad. Adds some moisture to the burger.
January 14, 201412 yr I have. It's not bad. Adds some moisture to the burger. What are we talking about...over-easy...completely fried...something else?
January 14, 201412 yr Does Mad Mikes have a drive thru? I honestly do not know but thems some good burgers. And they too have one with a fried egg on it which is good.
January 14, 201412 yr There's a new restaurant in Richmond called Cook-Out. I think it is the first one in Kentucky. They have chains in several southeastern states. Their food is cooked outdoors style and is very good.
January 14, 201412 yr Unfortunately my favorite fast food burger is not available here. The Jalapeno & Cheese Whataburger from Whataburger. They'll even grill the japs for you.
