June 29, 201511 yr I don't remember who posted about it before but I took someone's suggestion and marinated a flank steak in Skyline chili, grilled it and through it on a hoagie type bun with cream cheese. I really enjoyed it. If I do it again, I think I'll add onions to it and maybe shredded cheese (as if it's not bad enough for me already). That was me. Also said to go to the Taft Ale house. It is common to tip your concierge. Just sayin!

June 29, 201511 yr Lunch was a super hoagie combo at Pasquale's. Dinner was pasta with smoked salmon, peas, mushrooms and alfredo sauce. The local Kroger had several of those smoked salmon "hunks" marked town to a dollar each the other day; I bought all of them. ...and somewhere All In shed a tear because you bought them all.

June 29, 201511 yr Just got back from Lake Cumberland for a houseboat weekend with friends. We ate like kings and had a blast, even if the weather didn't 100 percent cooperate.
June 30, 201511 yr Dinner was at Puccini's in Lexington, Chevy Chase. Bruschetta and spinach/artichoke dip appetizers. Meatball heaven calzone for me, pizza for mcmama and a shrimp pasta dish for my avatar.

Too much trouble and too much gas burned trying to go back to the marina and load everybody up in a car for an expensive meal when we can eat better or at least as good on the boat for a fraction of the cost. Grilled pork chops with Boone's grub-rub marinade on Friday. Monster ribeyes Saturday night and burgers/brats/dogs last night. Great breakfasts every morning and plenty to munch on throughout the day with little stuff we'd make up here and there.
