April 14, 201511 yr Home made tacos. I love mine. I take the raw hamburger and stuff into the taco shells. Then I fry them in a skillet. Then I cut thick slices of velveeta cheese and lay over the top of the taco, then I put them in the oven till the cheese starts to melt. I have toppings of cut up tomatoes, shredded lettuce, onions and fresh cilantro. Also taco sauce. These are not your typical tacos, but everyone that has eaten them think they are better. They are more like a cheese burger wrapped in a fried taco shell.
April 14, 201511 yr Had some fun last night with a simple burger and American Fries dinner... Prior to pattying up your 80/20 ground chuck mix it with garlic, onion, cummin, and curry powders. Then cut up and mix your favorite onion, mushroom, and any combination of yellow, red, or green peppers. Whether on the grill with side burner or on the range, sautee the veggies with a generous helping of olive oil, some salt and pepper. Cook the burgers to your desire. Near end of cook for burger place favorite cheese on them...C1 family enjoys American and Smoked Gouda. Remove either veggies or burger based on grill or range and cook egg sunny side up. Smile now....yes it is as marvelous as it sounds! You have options: 1. serve sauteed veggies on the side 2. smother burger and melted cheese with said veggies...and then boom-place sunny side egg on top of your preference. Serve zesty fries on the side and your..........:walk: Enjoy and have fun with it. :thumb:
